DESCRIPTION
While producing tracked vehicles for the use in the Imperial Guard Corps as well as for export to various imperial remnants, the Olympian Armoursmiths Forgemasters set their sights on developing a new generation of heavy combat walkers with the past successes of the All Terrain Tactical Enforcer, the All Terrain Armoured Transport and the All Terrain MegaCaliber Six on their minds.
Their first trial and prototype was for an AT-ST sized fire support walker which would be able to give an improved angle of attack and traverse difficult terrain. With a strong emphasis on the words 'fire support'
the walker received very strong weapon systems to fight all kinds of ground targets, soft or hard. The mounting of a turret on top of the walker would be part of the testing process, as side-sponsons were considered but a flexible, rotating turret was chosen.
It proved practical in terms of directing fire but much less so on the move. The turret would cause instability while walking if moving its gun further than 10° from the front towards any side. One of the flaws of the walker, but it would be much less of an issue when the walker was stationary. Therefore the lesson for future walkers was drawn to rather mount the weapons on the sides, into its 'shoulders' rather or fixing them on top to maximise stability during advances.
