All Under Control (Krest)

[member="Krest"]

Once again, Minna was in the training grounds awaiting a lesson. But unlike last time, the Yodaling was not meditating. In fact, she was practicing Ataru on a training target, leaping around and placing precise strikes on various vital areas that would be present if the target was a living thing. Her speed was rather impressive, as her lightsaber moved so fast it looked like nothing but a while flash was travelling around the dummy. When the time for her lesson got closer, she ceased her jumping and holstered her lightsaber. She loved her new robes, as they could be used in combat without hindering her movement like her old robes. Which was just as well, as this lesson was to be on Controlled Rage, which would most likely involving fighting.

The last time Minna went on a rage alot of Chiss died...

Krest came unto the room not with a smile on his face, but a frown. Nothing about him seemed happy, and for good reason. Controlled Rage was an ability he had created, but not without the possibility of death. The ability constantly flirted with it, and the training process was that much harder on ones body.

Needless to say he wasn't too excited about teaching his friend something that could hurt her. But as a Knight of the Grey, it was an ability she was allowed to learn, and it was his duty to teach her. He came in fully armed, wearing his armor, sword, gauntlet, what have you. This wasn't going to be fun.

"Are you sure that you wish to learn this?"

Minna looked up at her master, noticing his frown and keeping her face serious, unlike the last few times they met which were lighter and happier. "Thought it through, I have. Learn it, I must, if I am to progress in my training." She moved over to Krest, looking straight at him. "Okay, are you, with teaching me this?" There was an uncertainty in the air. It was understandable that the Zabrak would not want her to be harmed, but if the thought of such would be too distracting, then she would understand. Although, he was a Master, and she was sure he could handle his feelings well enough.

"I am certain I can teach you this, and that you will learn no issue. It's just at what cost is what bothers me." A sigh escaped the red lips as he crouched down, flicking her forehead. "Be sure not.to harm yourself as.much as you can control it, aye?"

Minna's left hand shot up to mockingly rubbing her forehead, as she gave a small laugh. For a moment she sounded and acted like a small child, but once she lowered her hand, she was slightly more serious. "Be careful, I will. I promise." She gave a confident nod, hoping to assure Krest that she was definitely prepared for this.

A sigh escaped his lips again before he stood up, stretching out. But then he would pull free his saber, gripping the blade in both hands. "You have to loose yourself in your darkness. Completely give in to your hate. Your body will act on pure instinct, destroying and attacking everything around you. Until you either gain control back, get knocked out, or die. Within your mind you will be locked within the darkness, and it will be up to you to find the light to temper the hate."

"I see." Minna said in a more relaxed tone, but her body language still portrayed some hesitation. Obviously she did not want to hurt her friend, but that was all the more reason to push herself to do her best and not give in so much that she ended up doing something drastic. She un-holstered both of her lightsabers, igniting the white and golden blades. Instead of assuming her usual stance for Jar'kai, she held her lightsabers low and began to focus on her hatred and anger. It was hard to direct such emotions at her best friend, and so she envisioned all of the past hatred she had experienced, against the Sith, the Mandalorians, the Rogue Jedi who had broken her back long ago...

With a mighty leap, the Yodaling sprung into action. The hatred and anger radiated from her, the dark side creeping control over her actions. Her blades spun in separate movements, but both aiming to land strikes on the Zabrak. It was clear she was not holding back, the rage had consumed her thus far, and this was only the beginning.

She hadn't even thought of returning to the light yet...

Krest would keep his distance, his eyes purely focused on her movements his stance to soresu, his feet wide and his blade held in both hands. Moving back, he would turn to dodge the first strike, his saber coming around to catch the second. He knew full well what would happen, and the thought honestly scared him. His friend would be gone throughout this entire training, replaced by just dark.

Minna's attacks were relentless. Rapid strikes from all directions, no pause between them. The darkness grew like an infection inside her, clouding her judgements and making her greatest friend her most hated enemy. After a short burst of attacks, Minna, or whatever was left inside of her, became more calculating. Her blades began to move in synchronized motion, one after the other to reinforce each other's attacks. A swift slice from both blades went towards Krest's legs, after which she leaped, trying to catch him off guard and strike fast from above only seconds later.

With a grim determination he kept up with her, hjs blade flashing the pale blue it was to catcher her own. Beads of sweat rolled down his face sd he moved, already finding himself tired from the blows. The dark made people much stronger then they would be, but af a cost.

It aas the final attack however, that caught the Zabrak off guard. Unable to move quick enough, the blade went though his leg, sheeting it clean off. The pain was unimaginable, and he feel back. But he did not scream. With his saber still active he would press on. Through the force he pushed himself up, hanging there on his only leg.

At least he was use to this.

If Minna was herself, she would have stopped there, if not before, and realized in disgust what she had done to her friend. But this was pure darkness, and that darkness decide to press on. A flurry of strikes from both blades came rushing at the Zabrak's chest area, followed by a swift slice at his left side with her golden blade. After that last strike, the Yodaling would leap backwards, creating some distance between them. Holstering her golden lightsaber, she flung out her gauntlet arm towards Krest, which crackled and surged with lightning. This lightning then shot from her fingertips towards Krest, inaccurate but full of malice. Minna had never used this power before, but it seemed the darkness had unlocked something in her.

But she was not scared by it; she was so clouded by the darkness that she enjoyed it.

Saddlg for the Zabrak, standing up on one leg was much, much harder then he had thought. Between that and the sheer pain, there was little he could do to defend himself. His chest quickly became tatters, but they seemed to be only grazes. A hasty barrier had prevented major damage, but he fell to the ground just as the lighting came at him.

The lightning, however, would be caught on his own, creating more or less and endless cycle, but it was draining in the Zabrak. Gritting his teeth, everything had started to fade out. So, he did the only thing he could do.

"Minna!"

The light... She had to get to the light. But there was no need for the light. The Darkness was much more rewarding, and powerful...

Minna's lightning ceased, but it wasn't the end of her rage. She approached her friend who lay on the floor, her white lightsaber still active in her hand. Her blade came down on the Zabrak, but she expected him to block it like anyone would. Instead of pulling back for another strike, she'd simply push down against the blade, edging closer to the zabrak's body.

Her eyes flickered with something different, something other than blank hatred.
She knew this man...

The Zabrak gripped his saber not with both hands on the hilt like before, but gripping the energy itself with the gauntlet. He would catch her blow along the middle, allowing himself to press back with ease.

If you could call it that. He could not use his own rage, for it would only add onto hers. The most he could do is defend, and it was here he was. With gritted teeth he'd stare into the yodalings eyes, scanning for any sign of light.

Unrelenting, Minna continued to push down, determined to cause even more harm to the Zabrak. However, her eyes kept flickering about, widening as she realized who she was fighting. The Light slowly came into sight, replacing the darkness that had clouded her so. Eventually the Yodaling stopped pressing down on her friend's gauntlet, and deactivated her lightsaber. Although cured, she seemed out of reality still, wide eyed as she stepped backwards to fully see what she had done to Krest. The sight that caught her eye the most was his missing leg. "Kr... Krest...." She managed to stutter out, before having to stay silent for fear of bursting into tears. What have I done...

Falling to her knees, she simply stared unblinkingly at Krest and his injuries, silent.

A sigh escaped his lips as his friend returned, and he smiled wide, nodding to the yodaling. "You came back, good. You know how to.." And that was all he had before the pain of loosing a leg overwhelmed him. He'd pass out, falling to the ground.

Minna remained in her state of shock, staring at the now unconscious Zabrak in despair. Students passing by had noticed the scene, and acted when the Yodaling could not. The temple's healers came, crouching around Krest as they tried their best to slow the bleeding and keep him stable. Everything seemed to happen outside of Minna's reality, as she just knelt there, staring into nothing now. However, a few moments later a student picked Minna up from behind, taking her without struggle to the healing rooms. She didn't remember anything after that...

...Until she woke up in the medical bay of the temple, muttering quietly...
"...Krest...?"

Krest was nearby, sitting in one of the chairs by her bed. Oddly enough, despite his own injury, he looked fine. His leg was already replaced, the limb looking organic and.. Natural, save fore the line where the base attached to flesh.

But he was wearing pants, so the line wasn't visible. Upon hearing her voice however he rushed beside her bed, placing a hand on her forehead. "There you are, you feeling okay?"

[member="Krest"]

Minna's hand shot up, grabbing Krest's by the wrist, but not violently, more in a way to make sure he was actually there. "Krest..." She croaked, her voice dry. "What did I do to you... Your leg... mutilated you, I did..." Her small head turned to look up at him with an expression of pure worry. She looked better than she did after the incident, the healers had worked on making sure none of the unwanted darkness remained and ensured her body was not affected by the shock too much. In her mind she went over everything that had happened, processing it all to make sense of it. In the end all she felt was disappointment, she was meant to be a trained Knight of Balance, yet she had let the darkness take so much control of her that she had sliced off her friend's leg.

And the worst thing was, at the time, she had enjoyed it.

The Zabrak offered a shrug. He'd tap his leg, a slight metalic ring sounding out. "Truthfully. I missed having this. It was something I enjoyed utilizing. But, you're yourself again. I shouldn't have asked you to do as you did.." And with that he would lean down, planting a kiss on her forehead.

"I'm just happy you didn't hurt yourself."
