Allied Industrial Labs is a corporation formed by ex-GADF officers as a consulting and defense contractor to work closely with the military to advise and develop weapons technology to create work primarily for officers looking to advance their career outside the military. Because of AIL's close ties with the GADF specifically, the company sometimes contracts high-ranking officers for consulting on different projects with the permission of the GA. All of the high-ranking corporate positions in AIL are held by ex-military to maintain their working partnership with the GA.
RATIONALE
Ysennia was never involved in AIL operations until she was recommended to the board of directors from one of her superiors. She knew how to command respect, lead others, and had technical knowledge that some officers lacked. Some time after her promotion to major, Ysennia was brought on to consult on development for an experimental hyperdrive generator. She was able to cut down time on development by assessing risks which prevented a lot of trial and error. It was her ability to identify problems before they could come up and prevent them from happening while cutting down on time that led to her becoming the Chief Consultant of AIL. While she doesn't own the company in any official capacity, Ysennia consults with the company's researchers when discussing weapons technology and how to adapt to advancements in intergalactic warfare.
