- Description: Alliance radicals often proudly wave their symbols of resistance but are otherwise difficult to tell apart from typical outer rim scum. There is no uniform dress code and equipment can vary wildly from world to world. Non humans and refugees from Sith space are a particularly common sight. With no centralized authority or funding many OPA gangs are little better than militant street trash.
- Unit Size: Medium
- Unit Availability: Common
- Unit Experience: Rabble
- Combat Function: OPA radicals operate throughout the outer rim as low level insurgents and Partisan fire support. Most are no match for even a single trained Sith Legionnaire but use guerilla and swarm tactics to even the odds. They lack the technical finesse to remain undetected in Imperial territory for long but raids or bombings on Sith border worlds are not unheard of.

- Us Versus Them
Ever since the Colichemarde incident rebel ideology has spread across many frontier worlds. Not every system however has the resources for organized resistance, or even a stable government to speak of. It is on these backwaters that OPA ideology finds its roots among the underworld and common street trash. Some are true believers in everything the Alliance stands for and some just want to watch the galaxy burn. Partisan troopers hunt down any OPA crew that has 'gone pirate' but its a wide wide verse so street level gangs operate with varying levels of morality. There are those who even fall back on crime to fund their militia efforts.
While any Imperial target is a target of opportunity radicals most often find themselves opposing Children of the New Order. Some HoloNet reporters have called their feud the largest potential 'gang war' the territories has ever known. On most worlds however Alliance presence is not large enough to pose a major ideological threat. Throughout much of their territory the OPA relies on underworld logistics and information brokers, because of this there tends to be gang violence whenever radicals infest a new shadowport or undercity.
