Allow Immortality

Suggestion to the Community,

In the Character Creation section of the Top Rules it states that your character cannot be God, immortal, or invincible. Today I'm suggesting we allow immortality. Or, in a way. That we already do.

Jedi get to be immortal Blue Spirits. Sith can just keep using Essence Transfer to switch to new bodies or they can just become evil Tomb Spirits on Korriban. Normal people can get cybernetics, cloned, turned into robots, pick a clever nigh-immortal Racial Trait from the 5th edition DnD Handbook, get magically younger because reasons, refuse to die in combat, or just stop acknowledging that there is a Board Timeline. or that time is relevant IC at all. And then there are still Droids. Um. Which. I guess that Droids get memory wiped or just keep on ticking. Forever. Lulz.

My point is. Can't all just fess up and admit that as a Chaos community that our characters are going to keep on trotting along until we suddenly say one day that they ain't? Because nobody reviews character profiles for immortality and ain't nobody gonna enforce it anyway.

Allow immortality plz.

I'm 99% sure they mean involuntary immortality, like never getting injured or never getting sick.

Voluntary immortality, as you have already mentioned, exists - to a degree.

And I'm sure it's entirely fine.

Immortality is such a... Subjective term. Some of us can die, we just choose not to

Yeah, I think they mean by immortality is being stabbed in the heart and not dying. Some races have long lives but can still die from mortal wounds.

My interpretation of the word has always been:

In an RP, Immortal should mean length of time. Invincible is a better term for unkillable.

Everyone is effectively invincible and immortal anyway. No one takes a hit they don't want to take, and age is something that happens to other people.

Ok, so like in a series...say the Clone Wars; there are adventures in every episodes...hundreds of adventures a character like Anakin has season after season...and he and his companions haven't aged.

Ok, so maybe they have 1 adventure a day, and that accounts for them not aging, right?
Ok... then I too have 1 adventure a day that spans many pages in an RP that take weeks to post, X many years that I write on Chaos. Forever 17. Simple.
