Tacky Thing

- An on-board software and storage device to help track the history a starship has taken
- The on-board software and virtual intelligence (less than a droid's AI), can link with other ships carrying the transponder to share data
- Can be used to assist search-and-rescue crews either equipped with, or not equipped with this system
- Can be linked to the open-source HoloNet navigation and exploration channels to upload data, helping to build, or really, rebuild starmaps jump by jump
- Provides a backlog larger than an astromech can maintain of where a particular starship has been, including coordinates of up to 20 prior hyperspace jumps
- Provides an extensive backlog of where a particular starship has been, including the previous 20 hyperspace jumps making travel a bit less sneaky if a ship has been captured
Introducing Ally, the on-board navigation software developed by Starchaser Enterprises. Created in the wake of the Planeshift, Ally is designed to provide not necesarily forward-thinking Navigation data, as a navicomputer would, but retroactive data, logging where a starship has been. With the new changes in the galaxy with Firefist, Grek, and the Rishi Maze entering the main galaxy, hyperspace trails and paths are now all sorts of confused. Ally helps a pilot understand where they are going by knowing where they have been. With regular uploads to the open-source HoloNet exploration and navigation networks, the jumps can be logged and compiled by the proper programmers to help rebuild starmaps that were previously existing (i.e. the Colonies or the Core) and to create new maps (i.e. Grek and Firefist).
Ally is installed with a small droid brain and storage unit, and will be able to be uploaded to any ship's normal, or advanced navigation system, perfect for sharing finds, or assisitng search and rescue teams.
