Alric Kuhn's alt attacks Kashyyyk?

I'm sorry, but....what?

What happened that I missed? Where did he declare this, is this a rebellion, a skirmish?

I saw no OOC thread, received no heads-up.

A skirmish is a semi public ish PvP thread. It has no impact on the space risk and is intended only for furthering RP and PvP. It requires no consultation to the faction OOC that someone is doing so.

Also I would honestly look past whose alt it is unless there is a genuine OOC difficulty in collaboratively writing with that person.

Forewarning is a courtesy, not a requirement, true. Still, it is definitely more... compelling... to do so rather than just thrust the matter upon a faction.

I already said I'd be willing to entertain this thread, so long as I'm not the only one to do it. I refuse to be or appear as a proxy.

But really though, stop making assumptions. You'll note nothing bad said about him anywhere in my post history.

If it's a skirmish, fine. But it would've been nice as a courtesy for him to make an OOC thread and be like 'hay u guise, i'm attackin' all ur base on kashyyyk'.

Hence my confusion stemming from lack of this.

My apologies.
My interpretation of the thread's title is what led to the assumption. I typically view the use of names in headlines to be a method of putting someone on blast (whether positive or negative).

Regardless yes courtesy of an OOC is in my opinion a better means of generating a collaboratice experience, however the "IC is everything" mentality is often what leads the charge. Both have their pros and cons.
The OOC first can sometimes be deliberative and takes awhile for everyone to agree, while simply thrusting IC upon people can lead to ruffled feathers. Either way if an OOC thread is asked for then by all means start one roll with it. Or just jump in IC.
