Always the Numbers

The grind of machinery hauled beyond the space of Sebastian's small office. Between every beep, crates were loaded into the heights of the factory while droids provided mechanical company. His mind began to wander with the hours of the day as a droid pounded another slab of paperwork on his desk.

As one who appreciated the company of mechanical beings to people, Sebastian gave her a nod of appreciation as she clicked away. The coffee in his mug rippled as he repressed his presence in the Force. Sweat gathered on his palm as he held his hand before his eyes, feeling an invisible reach extend far into the ceiling. His breathing quickened. Ignoring the power inside of him became difficult with every passing day.

Sebastian only feared that there was little time before they hauled him away to one of their academies and force a saber into his hand. To distract himself, he focused on the numbers. Always the numbers. His means of stress relief and the only thing he was ever really good at, they rolled beneath his grip as he analyzed scores of data.

"Mister Thel, your appointment is here." The droid spoke from the door and Sebastian looked up to see her metal features disappear. He cocked his head to one side, not remembering anybody scheduling an appointment with him.

Leaning back in his chair, Sebastian tried not to panic at the thought of receiving an appointment face-to-face. He held his breath for as long as he could and released, sitting up straight and rising from his chair. He slid into his long, beige coat in order to make himself somewhat presentable. The door opened and to Sebastian's horror, strode a Knight of the Sith clad in armor, a lightsber at his side and a cold glare on his face.

The mathematician froze like an animal caught in the wild. His shoulders raised, tense and cramped and his mouth clamped shut as he struggled to speak. The Sith warrior strode around the metal office, taking in every note, before returning to Sebastian, who stood behind his chair and gripped the head rest.

"You, stop shaking." He demanded and Sebastian glanced from every corner of the room to the next. "What is your business on Mygeeto?" The Sith asked.

"I just run the numbers here!" Sebastian begged. He released his hands from the chair and crept around the desk, leaning against the front and wringing his hands together. The Sith produced a computer chip from one of the pockets on his belt and threw the item to Sebastian, who stumbled to his knees as he failed to catch it.

The Sith warrior spat on the floor in disgust.

"I don't think that was necessary." Sebastian said while he scrambled around on the floor and found the chip. He stood and creased his brow, trying to stop his hands from shaking as he glanced all around the room.

"This is a quota for a crate of weapons my legion has purchased." The Sith explained. Inserting the chip into the computer terminal beneath his desk, Sebastian reviewed the information which was displayed, recognizing the details of the order which he had already stored in the system of the factory. "Show them to me." The Sith said.

Suddenly, Sebastian felt immediately uncomfortable. The handling of physical wares was not his task and he had only a blank idea of the factory layout. He knew the Sith must be there for more personal reasons. He was being toyed with and had no choice other than to follow orders. With a meek nod, Sebastian removed the chip from the terminal and walked past the Sith, exiting out of the office and leading him into the station.

"Come with me." He tried to be as polite as possible as he walked across the steel bridges. Wrapping a thin, salmon scarf over his coat, he shivered beneath the cold of Mygeeto as they passed the open hanger doors. A ship pulled in and Sebastian felt the Force ripple throughout the building. The Sith turned his cold gaze as Sebastian motioned towards the inside corridor in a frenzy, silently begging him to come away from the ship.

"You can use the Force, can't you?" The Sith interrogated. Sebastian pretended he did not hear and backed away into the darkness of the factory.

Mygeeto, bloody cold planet honestly. Her business here was half and half, half the force jerking her around for some reason it another and the other half was to get a few weapon crates to...supply certain folks within different territories. Wrap within a black coat that his her body, she walked out into the cold weather, she took a breath then out watching as her breath for a moment was visible then disappeared

Now to find whoever is in charge here, see if I can get anything cheap but good

She said to herself, suddenly the force pulled her attention away to a group of two men, one she could feel was a sith...much weaker then she was in fact wouldn't even be a good fight, the other had signs if the force she could feel it but also felt how uncomfortable and even scared he was that the sith was here. Shrinking her presence down she had to help the kid get out of this situation somehow...she didn't like sneaking around...but with too many eyes watching she had to sneak around...lightly as her presences was likely already known, which meant trouble was heading her way

She liked trouble

"Did you hear me?" The Sith questioned once more. Taking a breath, Sebastian froze on his shoes and turned around slowly, his head tilting nervously and his eyes glancing from one side of the room to the other.

"No..." He stammered. "I cannot use the Force." The arriving ship moved into the docking bay and a fearsome woman strode from the ramp. Feeling the Force radiate from her very form, Sebastian grew more anxious by the minute as the situation complicated. The Sith stared him down and Sebastian gripped his hair in his hands.

"Show me my purchase, you runt." The Sith leaned in uncomfortably close and Sebastian could smell his awful breath. Sebastian thought quickly and logically, adding up every piece of the situation to equate an answer which made the most sense. The Sith would have killed him by now if he truly wished him dead and the powerful woman who approached provided a diversion.

"If you'll excuse, I have another appointment." Nodding, he spoke softly and sternly, refusing to fall into the interrogation of the Sith. He strode by the warrior and felt his glare pierce the clothes on his back. As he walked, the Sith followed, not taking his off Sebastian until he followed his order. He approached the woman who had just arrived and breathed in, preparing to receive her in place of the droid manager.

"The owner of this factory is not currently available, so you may speak to me regarding our products." Sebastian was panicking now. "Please come inside my office." He had never addressed a customer directly and was not authorized to do so. His cheeks heated and sweat gathered on the back of his neck. Breathing in and out, he fidgeted with his quivering fingers.

Sebastian lead the woman inside of his office and locked the door behind him, with the Sith patrolling the corridor outside. In full view of the guest he had taken without permission, he paced from one end of the room the other, shaking his hands frantically and gripping his hair, making it appear more disheveled in the process.

"Are you interested in making a purchase?" He stammered as he tried his best to play customer service. He could not be involved in the death of a Sith, such a crime in Imperial space might cost him his life, or his job. This woman was powerful and he was sure she could help him, without landing him in prison, or worse, a Sith academy.

What a turn of events, she had been trying to quietly approach when suddenly she man was coming right for her. She out a hand at her side saber within reach, she stared at the sith eye to eye as she gave a frown. She wasn't about to hide her opinion, she turned with the man and walked with him... she could two he was quite nervous if any he was scared and she would not blame him

yes, however it seems we have a bit of a issue to clear up before any business can be done. I can tell you have the force, there's no need to dance around it like this...wannabe wishes....

She glanced to the sith stalking outside, she frowned again. She couldn't engage him how she wanted, she needed to make it look like some sort of accident...or get him away from the camera view to fight him

I need a map of this place, i might have a idea to free you of this trouble you have without causing a scene. Insurance for both of us

She spoke with confidence...however even she herself wasn't sure if this would even work....but she had to try

"Had I been too upfront?" Sebastian wondered internally as the woman stood before him. His eyes glanced over her wrist as she cupped her lightsaber, taking a step backwards in silent caution. All that was on his mind was keeping his job, a misunderstanding with a Sith could be his last day of work.

"If you don't mind me asking, what is your name? I need something to call you." Sebastian asked as he slipped behind the desk. As she offered to help, a wave of relief came over him as he began to slide through windows on the computer. With a few beeps, he activated the holo-screen, which projected a large map covering the interior of the factory.

"I'm Sebastian." He said in a friendly tone, sliding through windows on the computer screen and switching buttons, until the coordinates of himself and his Force-using companion beeped on the map.

"Please tell me your idea." Reaching for the desk, he procured his notebook, which he flipped open to the last page. He clicked his pen and immediately began to take estimation based on the idea which Anya presented.
