Am I Going Mental?

[member="Evelynn Zambrano"]

His steps echoed through the hallways of the Palace that the Queens of Rattatak had decided to name their home. His Master was one of them, Nemene Talith, the apparent 'Master' of the other if there was to be a dominant one, but the game they played didn't seem right to him, the one who was stronger in the Force should be the powerful one.

There was no opponent that could match the Force.

That was why he entered the throne room, to see the Queen that he wanted to request a favour of. The Queen who he could only hope, would teach him how to wield the Force well enough so that he may protect his own mind. To even hide it, if it were possible from other mentalists.

This was as good a chance as any.

The Silent Sister of Rattatak found herself draped across the throne, the massive body of her corallus snake Hiss surrounded her frail form making her body look lost in a sea of black and green. By herself Evelynn was nothing more than eerie, ghostly, almost ethereal in nature but when swimming in a sea of a venomous constrictor the mute was upgraded to something a lot more terrible, terrifying, bestial even.

When her sister's apprentice came striding into the throne room the blonde turned her head lazily, as if she were the Queen Predator and he were just prey, too small to even eat.

A skeletal hand slithered out, creeping down the scales of her pet, fingers gliding over every bump and crack of the imposing creature's hide. Hiss, true to his name's sake let out a long drawn hiss, clearly content with his Master's affections. The snake itself paid no attention to the boy, perhaps for the best.

Nobody wants to content with a hungry corallus.

How, she started, granite orbs surveying he who came before her before her features broke into a pleasant smile, may I help you?

His strides were powerful and meaningful and they brought him to the foot of the throne's steps. He had only seen the woman occassionally when Nemene forced him to sleep in the beast pen. She wasn't the one who pushed him to his limits everyday.

But he wanted her too. Although in a different way.

When she addressed him, he was unsure whether he should kneel or stand. He never could tell when it came to these Sith.

So he bowed.

It was to a reasonable degree and he gave her his own smile. "I want to be able to protect my mind from intruders."

The bow was enough,

A bony finger ran up the constrictor as she considered his request. So he wanted to protect his mind. A fair request. Nobody should be plunged into the world of Sith-kind without the necessary protection. That's how creatures like Evelynn Zambrano are born. Doe-eyed little children twisted into unredeemable monstrosities, almost incapable of separating pain and pleasure. It sounded appealing in that grotesque romantic manner only managed by things that went bump in the night, but the reality was very grim.

Very well.

Her digit stopped, tapping the back of the snake almost impatiently. Of course, the beast master would have to make an assessment of his abilities and knowledge to this point. Wouldn't want to waste time teaching the boy what he already knew.

Indulge me, how well versed are you on the realm of the mind?

She was certainly scarier than her sister. It unnerved him how someone else other than his own conscience was able to speak to him through his mind. But it was too late, he was committed to this woman now that he had approached her, she was Sith, and there was no backing down now.

"I am only capable of concealing my true intents and my emotions." He said, before adding in quickly, "and my mind if I focus." He hoped it was a good starting point, he had after all unknowingly self-trained himself to hide his emotions and believed his own lies while he grew up.

Not a bad starting point, she responded coldly, fingers once again running down the body of her snake companion. In fact, better than most. Her tone remained frigid, unimpressed, despite the fact that she had given his sister's apprentice a compliment, all-in-all Evelynn was known for being a bit of an ice queen, that was until you know how to get the blood pumping.

I'm not one for hiding these things, she admitted with a flourish of the hand. Hiss, the creatively named corallus snake slithered off, seemingly disinterested in the apprentice that stood before them. People who wish to waltz into my mind are free to. What would Hiss do with the rest of his day? Who knows. Likely snake stuff. Perhaps he would eat a slave or two. They never leave the same.

Evelynn smiled, as if reviewing fond memories. Memories. That's where the lesson begins. Let's not engage in any time wasting. It was ready, set, go.

In your mind create a false memory, do it now.

He didn't think he would ever try to enter the mind of @Evelynn. He didn't need to hear how she spoke telepathically to know that she seemed like the type of person that was...Odd. But hopefully she didn't know he was thinking that, or else that would probably trigger some scary laughing, and then him resulting in death.

Yeah, that's fun.

In his mind, he thought of a false memory, one that was the truth in some ways, but was an overall fake memory. Whenever he lied he always put everything he had into it, he even formed images in his head and the words just continued to spew forth from his mouth while he lied.

Here, he didn't have to speak, only do half of the job that he would use to do.

Easy.

The image formed of his home upon Eiattu 6 within the Inner Rim in the Ado Sector. He imagined his parents being happy with how his sword lessons were going, how he excelled and surpassed every servant who he had challenged. He gathered thoughts and memories and put them together as he went. Eventually, he came up with the end product of the lesson coming to it's climax, he swung for his mentor's head, missed, and when he lunged forwards to bend his arm so that his elbow would be going straight for his teacher's face, the man moved fast enough to avoid the unbalanced attack, tripped him up, and laid his sword upon the back of hi s neck.

Fake, right? Aeon never lost.
