Am I Too Rich? (Help with math please)

Am I too rich? Here I thought originally my math was making small numbers, but math... It isn't my strong point anyway. Can someone help me?

First I used the massive mineral haulers massive capacity (363 tons) as a starter for a vault size, then x3

As Aurodium bars don't have a specific weight, I used real gold bar weight. Seems logical, rounded to 13kg

13kg = 0.0127947 tons

363 / 0.0127947 = 28371.1224179

Round to 28372 becauseilikeiteven

28372 * 3 = 85116 (times 3 for the three truck loads)

85116 / 10 = 8511.6 (ah poodoo) (divide by 10 because every 10 = 3 billion credits)

8512 (because rounding) * 3,000,000 = 25536000000

.... 25,536,000,000 credits

Is that correct math? If so I'm going to dial this way back. But... For a Sith Lord who practically owned a planet and inhabited it as a god during the Great Sith Wars be unheard of with that much bank?

I'm not sure what you're asking, because where are you getting the value from? What is a credit worth?

The amount you mention is more than all the gold ever mined on Earth - or at least very close.

So...yeah, I think the amount is excessive, especially as credits are not backed by precious metal.

Trust me, I'm dialing this back. I'm dev threading opening the ancient sith lords vault on the shahku's ship, where thousands of years ago he dominated and enslaved the tribe before dying.

In 29 BBY, ten large ingots of aurodium were worth three billion credits; however, although the ingots were considered large, all of them were combined small enough to keep inside a pouch that was easily concealed on a person.

I think that value from the wiki tells me two things either:
  • Aurodium is vanishingly rare, to make it able to purchase 2 Star Destroyers per bar.
  • The source is completely nutso.

If it's the first then it's hard to imagine your chap having any more than 2-3 bars at most. If it's the second then you still have far too much, but you can imagine you have a tonne or so. That's more than enough for anyone.

Sounds grand. I just want you to know, I won't be buying Dreadnoughts with this at least 90% is going towards rebuilding their home. Also, winkwinknudgenudge Adzatsmam hopes to make a negotiation with SSC for Dromund Kaas

Just want to make a note here.

In Star Wars, Aurodium =/= Gold

They're two separate elements, so using the standard weight measurements for Gold also doesn't work.

The bars were described as similar in weight and size. Little description, but close enough. Besides, one could easily make an Aurodium bar the same weight as a Gold Bar. The problem being it's all 0.0xxxxxxx, so it's a mystery all on its own. Even in modern day, different countries make different sizes. We'll never know a true size/weight until a canon one comes out.

Aurodium is gold, or so close that it makes no difference.. The name is the latin name for gold. It's just a Star Wars name change. It's functionally identical.

And I am sure the movies have far better things to do.

So there we go, to the question in the title I answer 'yes'. But you don't have to listen to me. You're free to do as you wish until it gets reported.
