- Special Forces: Military since he was old enough to enlist, the advanced force recon training Yossarian received on Alexandria as well as working knowledge of a variety of martial arts forms makes him not only a skilled reconnaissance marine, but an effective fighting force in his own right.
- Paladin: Driven by a deeply ingrained sense of personal honor and patriotic duty, Amahl cannot be bought or corrupted. A life dedicated to protecting others, the soldier's discipline is unwavering and his convictions are absolute.
- War Hero: Amahl served with distinction at the Battle of Castameer, one of the first major galactic conflicts the Commonwealth was drawn into. The sole survivor of his crashed troop transport, Yossarian then lead a successful assault on a fortified Rogue Sith position with light assault vehicles while heavily outnumbered.
- Royalist Heritage: A source of deep and complex shame for Yossarian, his family's history within the aristocracy limits his upward mobility within modern Alexandrian society while also earning him some deference in First Order space.
- Zealot: Having lost his wife to the Netherworld event, service to the Commonwealth is all Amahl has. Now rallying under the banner of the First Order, he sees duty to the state and Supreme Leader as an extension of the oath he swore to his own people. This fealty can be manipulated, as well as the value he places in his own personal honor.
- Stim Addict: Introduced to the narcotic through the course of his military career, stimulant abuse is a vice that Amahl unwittingly slipped into. Initially used only to increase his combat readiness, Yossarian now self-medicates in order to stave off the worst effects of combat fatigue.
In the kind of shape one can only maintain through active service and constant training, Yossarian is slightly shorter than average and keeps his head and face neatly shaven well beyond regulation.
