Points of Interest:
- The Amasci Run - Medium Level pod racing track. It is famed for it's high-speed turns, as it is set in a canyon just outside town. Events held here attract attention to the town, and many people come here to see the races. Unlike many other venues, the entire track and stadium is watched over by TE security drones. This ensures that everyone pays their gambling depts...or else.
- The Grand Spaceport - A large spaceport in the centre of the town. This is the main building of the town, and was the reason for it's foundation. The spaceport handles a large portion of the traffic coming into Geonosis, as all other spaceports are only open to permit holders. Interestingly, there is no organic staff in the spaceport, as everything is managed by drones.
Description: Amascus is a medium-sized town located on the planet of Geonosis. The TE created the spaceport in the centre, and since then, the town has grown around it. The town is filled with shops and merchants trying to sell their (overpriced) wares to unsuspecting spacers from the spaceport. A few native geonosians live here, but not many, as the queens distrust the TE, and are wary of becoming too friendly with them. However, the small Geonosian community in the village has been quite successful, and many Geonosians are now beginning to embrace the TE instead of fear it. Near the edges of the city is where most of the residents stay, making a living for themselves via tourism. The newly opened pod racing track has also brought in more business for Amascus, and brung into a new flourishing period. The town is officially governed by a TE commissioner, although they tend to let the townspeople do what they choose. A large battalion of battle droids are stationed in the town, mostly to protect the spaceport.
History: The town was founded with the construction of the spaceport, to allow easy access to Geonosis for spacers and independent groups. Within a short space of time, the town had begun to form around the spaceport, providing a place for spacers to stay. Soon, the town had expanded rapidly, and a official TE commissioner was sent out to bring order to the town, bringing a battalion of droids with them. Native Geonosians were encourage to stay in the town, but few did, as the queens had a strong distrust of the new TE constructions. The town was firmly put under TE control, and the few mob gangs that had started to form were destroyed. Recently, a new pod racing track was set up just outside the town, which proved a great success.
Intent: To provide a trade centre for the TE on Geonosis, and to provide a homeplace for many members of the TE.
