More than 7,000 years after his death at the hands of the Jedi Exiles, Amasis is resurrected at the hands of [member="Atlas Kane"]. The Sith Knight, who sought to unlock the secrets of Korriban, had unwittingly completed a plan set in motion by a secret society of Sith Pureblood Priests (The Cult of Immortal Gods) directly following the King's death. After having sacrificed a prisoner atop the site where Soruz Syn's temple had been built, atop Amasis' unmarked grave, Atlas sparked a curse set by the cult that would redirect the flow of Sith Sorcery to Amasis' Sith Sarcophagus, instead of into any of Syn's remaining artifacts that could be used to summon her spirit.
