Togruta heritage: Though having the appearance of someone mostly human, there are traces of Togruta to be found. Most prominently would he her sharp, canine-like teeth. She moves as if she had been a native hunter from Shili. To her dismay, she has no montrals.
Bred for battle: Even before she was born her father knew she would either become a warrior, or meet an early grave. Nearly since she was old enough to take her first steps, she has been prepared for that eternal fight for survival that would become her life. She is strong in both mind and body.
Pride: Amata is prideful, and she does not take kindly to those who would insult it. She believes she's destined for greatness, and entitled to the glory that comes with. Still, she is the child of two Sith Lords, and Amata feels she has a lot to prove. Not content to live in anyone's shadow, least of all her parents, she seeks to make a name for herself and surpass the accomplishments of those who brought her into this world at all costs.
Competitive: Amata is highly competitive. It is safe to say that she is not graceful in defeat. That combined with her entitled sense of pride leaves her to often act quite reckless. She is more likely to try to think of some crazy scheme to turn the tables on her opponents rather than admit defeat.
Appearance:
Amata has long, blonde hair. She’s got an athletic figure, with the endurance and swiftness of her father. She often paints her face and body to resemble Togruta skin markings.
Biography:
Raised on The Retreat in the Chiloon Rift, Amata Santii is the daughter of Darth Azurea and Darth Pyrrhus, two powerful Sith Lords who reside and teach on Glee Anselm. Amata has a sister named Astrid who is her fraternal twin. They both resemble human females but have sharper teeth and a prenatural ability to hunt and commune with nature due to their Togruta heritage.
Their mother, Darth Azurea, arranged for the girls to be raised as Togruta to honour their father, Darth Pyrrhus, despite their human appearance. Therefore they were trained at a young age, not only in the Force, but also to be tribal warriors, similar in nature to Dathomiri witches. During each summer away from The Retreat, they would stay on Shili with a group of darkside Togruta loyalists where they trained to hunt, fish, track prey and survive in the wilderness. They can often be glimpsed in red and white face paint to resemble Togruta, elaborate headdresses which are reminiscent of montrals, and pelts and jewelry from Shili. Since The Retreat is centered in the Bubble of the Lost, the girls are twenty years old, while their parents have only aged four years.
From a young age, Amata and Astrid were competitive rivals, but Amata was always stronger and more victorious in their games and contests. Amata showed a great aptitude for all matters concerning warfare. She excelled in battle, and in the preparation that came in advance. Amata exploited this advantage, often oppressing her weaker sister. Amata’s harassment of her twin went to the point where Astrid fled from the Retreat just before they were to unite with their darkside parents.
Astrid’s escape from The Retreat left Amata with mixed feelings. While she was highly competitive, and enjoyed their wargames and besting her sister, she had never wanted to drive her off. She was sad that her sister was gone, at the same time as she was angry with her for fleeing like a coward. In addition, she was fearful of the reprisals from their parents when they’d learn of what happened and her role in it.
It is likely that Astrid running away and the emotional state this left Amata in lead to what she did next. Though her motivation was different, Amata too would escape The Retreat ahead of the family reunion. She was not content to simply return to Glee Anselm, a child having finished her education. She wanted to return home a conqueror, with the skulls of her enemies cast down at the feet of her parents. It would seem even in running away from home, Amata’s competitiveness would not allow her to be bested by her sister.
