The child of Saro Nakaioma, Amaya is the younger twin of Saro's children. Even being the youngest, there are still high expectations upon his children, and Amaya was not exempt from these stipulations. She pursued a higher education, taking a particular note to battlefield medicine as she managed to pull a small career in a military setting.
Though her tenure in a military unit was far from anything more than a toe in the water, her understanding of working with others and also taking lead did help to give her an understanding of what she wanted. A tight-knit, cohesive unit, dedicated to the paying customer and no one else, besides her obviously.
While not nearly as charismatic as her father, Amaya does have her own charms. She is reserved for the most part, choosing to remain a quiet participant in the events unfolding around her to enact the quiet plans she has of her own. She has a healthy sense of self-preservation and awareness of her surroundings, things needed to remain an active member of the Nakaioma Clan. While not her favorite, she does her family the honor of attending social events and public relation events, if only to assuage the masses.
Amaya has struggled to make herself known within the family for something more than just her looks. Her twin brother has kept her underfoot for most of her life, casting a shadow over her that she intends to step out of, and cast back at her sibling. Her interest in the medical field was the only truly notable thing about the child since she was young, showing a preference towards it.
Her signing on for a military career pulled her from beneath her brother's foot, pushing her into the world of service from the age of eighteen, and only a few years later did her contract end. She pushed herself into a psuedo medical field of study, using the study of combat medicine as her basis for a specific service. One that was to be unique to the galaxy, and most importantly, to her family.
