Ambush on Voss (PM for invite)

Voss-ka, a fortified mountain city. Truths about her were evident as Jed was now first hand witnessing the artistic beauty of the craftsmanship and engineering the voss have put into their capital. In honest he almost thought he would look out of sort in such a grand place. But, for a heavily armed human walking about the streets of Voss-ka almost blended in with the more heavily armed commandos that hold sentinel over the fortress city and its land-marked tower.

It took a small fortune to get wiff of Connor Harrison's itinerary with this being a high plausible stop for the targeted force wizard. Word was that Connor was on a hunt of his own with intelligence that should lead him to this majestic city in search of clues. To the bounty hunter's web, ripe for the plucking. The game was a foot and now Jed just had to play patient and wait for his prey to show and be pounced upon.

It also cost a good deal of credits to also buy license to hunt on Voss, especially on short notice. A price to pay that would help Jed and his companion from being tangled up with the Local Law or worse, in the cross-hairs of the voss commandos. Jed had also sprinkled some credits on the local port authorities, to keep him appraised if Connor makes landing. This was a expensive venture, but the pay out would cover it and some if the hunt turns successful. Its why Jed has been in Voss-ka for the last few days, getting a lay of the land, rubbing shoulders with the locals and greasing the proper wheels for taking on a Force God was no task of the faint of heart and Jed was going to need all the eyes and ears on his side if he is going to subdue Magician.

Jed squinted in the sun with his good eye as he looked up to the Tower of prophecy. He puffed upon his lit shento cigar, taking the smoke deep into his lungs before exhale. He was wearing his black iron skin and laden down with a small arsenal. The old man stood above average height, mightily shouldered and deep of chest, with a massive corded neck and heavily muscular limbs, one bionic the other fleshy. His piercing gaze was dark and sullen with his glacier blue hue and enhanced with the vicious glow of his yellow bionic left eye. The warrior bares a short white mane, properly groomed. He was a professional soldier now long in tooth, feared in battle and well known for his endless thirst for life's pleasures. Jed is pragmatic and amoral in life combined with his sarcastic dark sense of humor gave him the visage of arrogance.

The Skywalker lightsaber was motivation enough to get Connor to act on his own. [member="Keira Ticon"] had somehow got word to her various contacts, who in turn had passed this hilt to the Silver Jedi Master. Now, taken by the warmonger [member="Dredge"], she needed help, and Connor was going to be that help.

Returning to the city of Voss-ka, the last place he had seen Keira and [member="Saverok the Unleashed"] spirited away, Connor was here to either attract attention from conspirators waiting for the Jedi to make a move, or find a clue as to where they had gone. He walked through, knowing few eyes would be on him, and if they were only due to the fact it was “that Jedi” with a rather unique look. But, Connor was a rather unique Silver Jedi after all.

Kitted out in his complete tunic and crimson cowl, he walked with one hand casually slipped between the 3 brown belts he wore, the other by his side near the hilt. The cuts from the incident on Dromund Kass were still raw on his face, but that was just another addition to the canvas that was his body of living the life of a Jedi.

Glancing up and around, taking in the Tower, the landing pad in the distance where he had last seen Keira, and the market units and library to his right, Connor hummed to himself as he continued through with no sense or urgency. Trouble always caught up with him, that much he had learnt, and so wasn’t going to go charging around like some over-enthusiastic Padawan. Nobody knew he was coming here, which suited him fine, so nobody would miss him.

Part of him doubted the fact he SHOULD have told someone…but if he did, that would only lead to others getting hurt, and that was something he wouldn’t bring to the Sanctum’s door again. Not after Ziost, or Toola, or Dromund Kaas.

Connor was hungry, and so ambled across the open square to the vendors for a look at the fruit. Voss did have some luscious fruits, that much he would openly admit.

Just the beauty of seeing all the people around her busy with life wandering the street to look for what they was seeking. To her this was very enjoy able. Just what was one like her doing will a few things, was she fooled no she wasn't. The old fool should known she would read him like an open book. It wasn't her own Shadow instinct kicking in it was something be on that, a friendship bond. As it seem that there was more to her time she spent with the tree of life its roots ran deeply in the planet of Voss itself. Finding herself able to speak to the tree itself, then it whisper back of unbalance.

Finding herself in the same fruit market not that she would have anything but looking at the fruits that had been important ed to the planet no days. Even so after the break down with [member="Connor Harrison"] which was much needed in her life she been change some how. Even then she couldn't help but look around, at trying a few here and there if anything to make sure Voss was getting the highest quality. Even so she could help if maybe she would run into a friend, that had wanted her to maybe help him with her other specialized skill of tracking. Not being half bad, but still not the best but it didn't mean that she couldn't put that warrior skills to use.

When Atiniir Starrider walked off the shuttle to the shining city of Voss-ka and breathed in the clean air, his first thought was:

How long before I can get out of here?

Atiniir Starrider was many things, but he was not a turfer. He didn't like the smells of grass and flowers and fresh fruit; he preffered discharged blasters, coolant, and the recycled air of a starship. The sooner he found that Jedi and got off this rock the better. As he walked toward his rendezvous with another hunter who hopefully would be willing to work with him, Atiniir couldn't help but feel a little nervous. He was intending to fight a Jedi Master, and he didn't have anything that could block a lightsaber. His only weapons were a basic durasteel vibrosword and a blaster pistol, and his only defense was a basic blaster-resistant armor vest. He would have to play this really really carefully if he was going to make it out of this and to his impending verd'goten ceremony alive.

After a few minutes of walking around Voss-ka, Atiniir finally spotted his contact.

"Hey, you Lonestar?" he said, walking up to the human weapons depot.

Devil or Angel? You decide.
The com in Lonestar's ear clicked. "Jed?" Her voice was warm honey. "I think I found what I was looking for."

Karma Jayne fluffed out the lovely scarf she'd just plucked from the rack a good few stalls behind the fruit vendor, inspecting it with interest. She held the sheer material up to her hair, admiring it in the tiny mirror, keeping Connor Harrison in her peripheral vision. She slid a few subtle glances at their target as she folded the scarf and moved around the cart, ooing and ahhing over the selection of rings and other knickknacks as she kept tabs on his movements. Sapphire eyes swept the man's ensemble, quickly taking the wounds on his regal face, but her gaze didn't linger, as much as it wanted to. "Mmm, it's very pretty," she said quietly with a tiny smile, trying on a ring or two, head cocked in consideration, "even all banged up."

She had very little experience with Force users as they tended to see right through her human disguise. This one was particularly powerful, she'd been told, and so she kept a healthy distance and focused her attention on the shiny things in front of her, keeping a clear mind. The con-artist was an accomplished liar and a decent actress, but she had no desire to tangle words with their mark. There was another lovely Zeltron at the same fruit cart. Interesting. She'd have to keep an eye on her as well.

Selecting a few things, Karma dug around in her small knapsack and purchased the items with a smile. "I'm getting hungry, though. The fruit they're selling here looks divine…" Jed would understand. She had no idea how good Harrison's hearing was, so she made sure to keep her words…casual.

Connor rested his hands, palm down, on the wooden unit that was owned by a lovely old Gran, and always had been in the decade or so since the Jedi had been on Voss. Kudos for lasting out this long selling nothing but the products of nature to those passing by and those in the area who lived and worked in the city. Eyes glancing over the various fruits, Connor made his choice - a bag of Guroot; ground plants and sweet spice that was good for the health...so the Gran said. Either way, it tasted nice.

However, there was more to residing on Voss an visiting Voss-ka for over 10 years than just knowing the vendors. It was knowing the people. The way they looked, what they did. How they acted.

Right now, he had that uneasy feeling that never let him down. A small number of Force auras were present. That was normal. Most were not Force auras. That was normal too. But he felt...eyes on him. A couple of people he'd glanced at coming through just didn't look like they were native to Voss-ka or why they'd be here in Sanctum space.

Connor turned and held the bag in his hand and leant back on the unit, to the edge as not to block the Gran's trade. He started to slowly pick in the bag and eat the spicy, soft plants and fruit seeds. This was the time to see just who was around and wait it out. He was in no rush, and he had only seen one Zeltron in the market before. And it wasn't the one trying on every item she could find to make herself look busy.

He had a bad feeling about this.

Even then she watch for her shadow place before she let herself be known to [member="Connor Harrison"] Finding herself unable to do much more then to seek out the truth in those around. It seem that over time she had came to know this place very well, even then it would whisper to her about people or if there was something out of balance. Knowing now that there something up but just what for now she would play into the roll, as she could feel stranger around. As she let herself be fully know, there was a little girl that pointed to her and then to her mother.

"Look its that nice lady that made my boo boo not hurt any more.", her mother turn to see Maya. Giving a nod to her, as she smile back at him. Even so she moved on into the crowd. Even so she made her way stopping off for a brightly colored fruit but she let herself by two of them. One for a friend. Oh speaking of that friend she knew that making her way that she would be doing.

Finding her own face know in a smile as she got close to Connor before speaking going up, then placing kisses on both cheek. "Hey my lovely, I thought you could use a piece of fruit, I"m afraid I couldn't bring those Peace Peaches." as she hope she got the hint that she felt something whisper to her from the area that she came to love with the people of Voss. Over the year mean had for one reason or another visit the Healing Temple. "Here some color fruit see that I think they call Hope."

Was she her to babysit him? Probably. Here for the fruit? Maybe. Here to be a good friend? Obviously. Connor picked at the fruit and smiled as the familiar face of Master Whitelight came to greet him.

”I thought your wonderful peaches would suffice without visiting here my dear.”

Connor stretched a hand out to hold her arm and gave her a kiss on the right cheek.

”I think we’re being watched,” he whispered as he did.

Sitting back on the stall, he looked relaxed and carefree, which to be fair he was. There was nothing spiking to him, but he was sure there were eyes on him. In a way, he hoped they were Dredge’s minions watching his action, but they didn’t radiate as Acolytes. Hit-man? Hunters?

”To be honest, I hope we are. I could do releasing some tension.”
