STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES

+ Textbook Prodigy: Amseth was run through the gauntlet of some of the best and brightest scholars that the Sith had to offer. His educational pedigree is virtually impeccable, and his knowledge of various galactic subjects is virtually encyclopedic. In particular, he understands the entire Imperial legal system perfectly, and knows the law inside and out.

+ Only Degrees of Guilt: Amseth's brilliant intellect is in many ways built on his perceptiveness and critical thinking. With only a bit of simple observation and deduction, Amseth can locate the flaws in virtually anyone, and figure out how in some way, they violated Imperial Law.

+ Always a Contingency: Amseth's remarkable intellect and perceptiveness thus make him a master strategist, someone who can always plan three steps ahead and predict almost any sort of complication and counter it. His prosecutions in particular are airtight and virtually infallible, with every possible defense countered.

+/- Boyish Charm: Amseth's relatively young age for someone of his position makes him relatively notable among fellow Sith. While many are enthralled and attracted to his compelling personality and considerable intellect, others find him obnoxious, bordering on unbearable.

+/- High Hopes: Amseth is ambitious. His great degree of achievement is only the beginning for him, and he intends to only achieve more and more in his life. Everything and everyone are expendable in Amseth's quest for more power and greatness. And of course, nothing quite paints a target on a Sith's back like ambition...

- Before the Fall: Amseth's primary weakness is his arrogance and pride. He refuses to admit defeat since he's hardly ever known it. He believes that everything is a challenge that he will overcome, all defeats merely temporary setbacks. It also makes him bizarrely stubborn: while he's remarkably flexible in terms of his standings, he only commits to his new principles due to his own will, not anyone elses's suggestion.

- A Boy's Best Friend: Amseth's mother, the Countess of Typho, was never a particularly large part of his life, and that maternal absence bleeds into his general cold and callous nature. Indeed, one of Amseth's prime "achievements" was prosecuting and sentencing his own mother to death for a plot against his father.

- And His Dad, Too: The previous Count Typho, Darth Amortem, was hardly a major player in Amseth's childhood, only existing as the cold disciplinarian and authority figure. It created a strained and distant relationship between them, and much of Amseth's ambition lies in the complex over his father never being satisfied with his early achievements.
BIOGRAPHY

As he entered his old age, it dawned upon the crippled Count Rand of Typho, Darth Amortem, that he would require an heir. Agents of the noble house were dispatched across the Count's home planet of Serenno and even into the rest of Sith Space to find a suitable woman to sire Amortem's future heir. A high midichlorian count and noble birth were required, as well as a genetic history that was free from deformities and showed a trend of high intelligence. After several months, a suitable candidate for breeding was found with Baroness Nora of the House of Espereth. The Baroness was brought into the company of the much more influential and powerful count, arrangements were made that included Nora abdicating her title to her younger brother, and the two were quickly married. Not long after that, Nora was impregnated, and Amseth Tycho was eventually born.

From the moment of his birth, Amseth was marked by his father Rand for "greatness". The Count separated his son from his mother (who, no longer being useful, he kept as prisoner) and focused intently on his education. The best tutors from around the galaxy were brought in to bring Young Amseth up to speed intellectually. Likewise, various Sith figures were heavily involved in ensuring that Amseth's specifically-selected power was being brought up to its full potential. Indeed, Amseth was nurtured in every way except the emotional way, with the Count being a distant and detached Father, who hardly praised or celebrated his son. And this isolation and detatchement caused Amseth to turn inwards, doubling down on his studies and training.

The end result of Amseth's deprivation-induced rigor was a prodigious performance. When he entered institutes of higher learning, Amseth excelled far and beyond his peers, standing out as a knowledgeable and intelligent student. His masterful understanding of the law and his powerful, well-rehearsed oratory skills impressed everyone around him, and he stood out as a Sith without peer. In virtually no time at all he became an agent of the Sith High Court, and eventually the youngest ever Adjudicator. His academic rigor became professional, and he became a brutal and ruthless prosecutor who brought down the hammer of the law with stunning efficiency.

Meanwhile, Amseth's training as a member of the Brotherhood of Sith under his father progressed quite well, even as his family life simultaneously deteriorated. A bitter, rancorous rivalry grew between apprentice and master, as the Lord of Grudges pushed his son further and further and was more and more demanding and heartless. The divide between the two was made worse when the elder Typho callously annulled his marriage and sent his wife away to live with her family. Amseth became only more isolated and alone, and the darkness inside him festered and grew over time. He became more powerful and more skilled, but more and more emotionally scarred and distant.

All of this came to a head with Amseth's final trial, his ascendancy into knighthood. His mother Nora, had made an alliance with her successor and sister Baroness Amata of House Espereth to revenge herself against the cruel Count who abducted her. Aware of the plot through his own dark clairvoyance, Darth Amortem approached the Court, and arranged for Amseth to be assigned the operation to bring the conspirators to justice. Unaware of his mother's role in the plot, Amseth spearheaded the operation, and personally arrested and imprisoned all parties involved. Overseeing the prosecution, Amseth held everyone on charges of treason, sentencing all parties involved to death. It was not until after he had already overseen the execution of his long-absent mother that his father divulged her identity to him. What remained of any sort of compassion or sympathy in Amseth died on the spot, leaving only a cold, calculating, and cutthroat agent of the law. Darth Amortem was pleased: he had finally reshaped his son in his own image.

Amseth was rewarded handsomely upon ascending to knighthood, his father arranging strings to make him one of the more favored and influential Adjudicators in the Empire. More importantly, the court entrusted him with the extremely important Project Clemency, the Court's secret project. Amseth took over the project and applied his notorious diligence and rigor to managing it. Soon, the project was ready to be debuted, under budget and ahead of schedule, but with better results than anyone could have hoped for...

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Lightsaber Fighting Styles

>Makashi (Primary style)

Force Powers (Control)

>Art of Movement: Even though Adjudicators hardly have to chase down criminals themselves, Amseth makes it a point to stay observant of various unconventional routes of movement, and adept in his own dexterity. Even though his underlings will act for him, Amseth is more than capable of ensuring that he'll get his man.

>Detoxify Poison: A trick Amseth learned by necessity when his father poisoned his own drink for the express purpose of forcing him to learn the move. He associates the technique with his father's callousness, and as such finds it unpleasant to use.

>Force Speed: No one escapes Imperial law, and Amseth will see to that. His already athletic build can be amplified further via the force, pushing him to superhuman speeds.

>Force Stealth: When an investigation requires discretion, Amseth can provide a sort of psychic shroud, averting the attention of others and making himself mentally invisible to anyone except force sensitives. Of course, he prefers shock tactics, but it never hurts to get the drop on a perpetrator.

Force Powers (Sense)

>Battle Precognition: Amseth's instincts are already excellent, but through the force he can usually see attacks a split second before they actually occur, giving him an acute sense of danger. When paired with his impeccable coordination, it makes him a dangerous force to behold in battle.

>Comprehend Speech: Amseth is already fluent in several languages, but through the force, he can understand and mentally translate most other languages as well. An excellent asset to have for the purpose of interrogation.

>Force Listening: Another important skill for Sith Adjudicators, Amseth can use the force to reach out and listen to a conversation occurring some distance away, hearing it as if he was almost right there.

>Force Smell: While Amseth disdains the reliance on scent as a crude and primitive tracking mechanism, he can certainly utilize it to find his prey.

>Force Sense: The backbone of Amseth's power, he has an acute awareness of his surroundings at all times, allowing him to understand them eloquently.

>Force Sight: Exactly as labeled, Amseth can use the power of the force to see long distances, in the dark, and and through certain walls.

>Psychometry: A very difficult and draining procedure that Amseth only has a slight grasp of. Still, he can get a good enough feel for an object that his natural deduction abilities can do the rest of the work.

>Telepathy: Even though Amseth's empathy is significantly impaired, he can still gauge the feelings and emotions of the people around him, and can peer into their thoughts to a degree.

Force Powers (Alter)

>Combustion: One of Amseth's many tools of torture, when he's feeling particularly malicious or sadistic he can cause body parts or cybernetics to spontaneously burst. A very cruel and messy power, one that he saves for when he's in a particularly bad mood.

>Crucitorn: The backbone of Amseth's interrogation technique, he can amplify or reduce pain as he sees fit. Indeed, this is one of his father's most essential lessons, and something that the ruthless Adjudicator has taken the most to heart.

>Drain Knowledge: As a point of pride, Amseth prefers to get confessions and information manually. However, if pressed for time or faced with a particularly obtuse/non-responsive subject, Amseth can simply force his way into their mind and extract the information he wants manually.

>Force Bellow: A minor power, but very useful: A little bit of oomph behind Amseth's voice can go a long way when declaring verdicts or delivering sentences. It also can help intimidate unruly subjects into surrendering easily.

>Force Choke: Another asset for torture, though Amseth isn't above using it to make an example out of non-compliant or incompetent subordinates in the Sith tradition. Additionally, when he has to administer a death sentence on short notice, this is his preferred method of execution, essentially a telekinetic hanging.

>Force Deflection: Amseth's lightsaber training is specialized for dealing with other lightsabers. For dealing with blaster bolts or other projectiles, Amseth prefers to use the force to deflect them.

>Force Fear: One of the most essential tools for interrogation, Amseth prefers to terrify his prisoners during the opening stages of interrogation, and then right before the torture itself starts. He prefers not to use it in the field, since it scares off suspects rather than coaxing them into surrendering.

>Force Jump: A basic skill of pursuit and mobility, Amseth can leap into battle, or out of it if necessary.

>Force Lightning: One of Amseth's favorite techniques, and his second most common method of torture. A quick burst can subdue a fleeing or unruly suspect, as well as scare any onlookers into compliance. More prolonged application of lightning can even be used for execution.

>Force Stun: Another one of Amseth's methods for subduing and arresting suspects, a quick stunning at close range can pacify them for quite some time, enough time to have them bound, gagged, and en route to a holding cell.

>Force Slow: As a point of pride, Amseth tries to avoid using this power to slow down anyone who tries to flee or fight. Using it to dull the wits of someone he's interrogating is out of the question. Still, he has it just in case.

>Mind Trick: Amseth can and often times does use the standard mind trick for diplomatic situations, or just for his own amusement. Of course, he'd never stoop so low as to coerce a confession or extract information, as that would be admitting his failure as an interrogator.

>Memory Walk: A torture trick Amseth is studying and trying to learn, forcing someone to relive their most painful memories can be both brutally efficient in terms of interrogation.

>Revelation: While it is futile to run from Amseth, it is equally futile to hide. Using the force, he can highlight other living things around him, making their presence known to him.

>Telekinesis: Being a Sith, Amseth is more than proficent with telekinetic manipulation of objects of almost all shapes and sizes, with considerable strength and power for a knight his age. Anything the size of a starfighter or lighter he can lift and move with incrementally increasing ease.
