- Utilizing an anchored spell of concealment in combination with a taozin nodule, the holder of the amulet is incredibly difficult to detect through either mundane senses or the Force, even for those bonded with the holder through telepathy or other means formed through the Force.
- Infused with some of her knowledge of Dathomiri magicks and spells, the amulet also has been woven with the same enchantments that create a talisman of counterspell that would allow the holder of the amulet to redirect Force powers and spells directed at them back upon their source.
- Combining a taozin nodule with an alchemized and enchanted kyber crystal that anchors a spell of concealment, the holder of the amulet can be incredibly difficult to detect through either mundane and Force senses. The holder of the amulet can even use it to obscure their location and mind from others they might share a telepathic or spiritual connection to if necessary.
- Using ichor and magick from the Nightsisters, a talisman of counterspell was woven into the amulet to allow the holder to redirect spells or Force powers targeting them back to their source.
- While the concealment effects of the amulet are quite powerful, they are not full proof. An accomplished Sith sorcerer could pass through the spell of concealment and the taozin nodule's obscuring effects if they are close physically to the holder.
- The counterspell effect of the amulet, while highly effective, can only be used once per Galactic Standard day. In a combat situation, it is not something that could be relied upon for defense in a long-term confrontation and would be more effective as an ace in the hole effect for a surprise protection.
- If the amulet passes through a Force nullification field such as created by an ysalamiri void bubble or void stone, its abilities are completely negated until the wielder passes out of the field. In addition, such a field will reset the proverbial time on the counterspell enchantment to the next day, depriving the user of its use until then.
As part of an initiative to forge bonds within the Sith Order between its members, Darth Arcanix began crafting a small gift for a recipient that would receive the item anonymously. Part of her had thought to make something truly awe-inspiring and powerful, an artifact of the dark side that would make no mistake of who had forged it and her proclivities. But then, she had made a different consideration, one that might be more useful for the name she had been given in the long term.
She remembered, in her younger years, how much she appreciated the privacy that had been granted by her Master to study and experiment on her own. Through her observations, she believed that many Sith masters in the modern Order had too much of a proclivity of binding their minds to their apprentices as a means of keeping tabs on them. While she applauded such carefulness, having been guilty of such herself, she still believed it was important for a young Sith to have that privacy to act on their own. In that regard, she had crafted a simple amulet from kyber and alchemized metals, along with a taozin nodule, that would act as an anchor for two enchantments. The first was a spell of concealment to act in concert with the taozin nodule to heavily obscure and conceal the holder from detection through mundane and Force senses, even if they were linked mind to mind. The second enchantment was from the Dathomiri traditions as a counter to being targeted by a Force power or spell, redirecting it back to the original source.
To activate the amulet, the holder only would need to grip it tightly and allow a drop of their blood to fall upon it.
