  • HISTORY:
Born to a wealthy couple on the planet Thustra more than a century ago, Amyrin had a bright future ahead of him. Adamant on obtaining the same level of wealth and influence as his parents, Amyrin enrolled in Thustra’s most prestigious academy. His career after graduation would be short-lived, however, for his latent Force sensitivity was discovered by the Order of the Silver Jedi.

Recognizing the importance of the Jedi Order in this chaotic universe, Amyrin joined the Jedi in their Temple on Kashyyk, starting yet another learning phase in his life.

As a Jedi, Amyrin proved to be a skilled user of the Force and the lightsaber, with a deeper understand of the Jedi code. After reaching Knighthood, he became one of the Silver Wardens, travelling through unknown space to aid those in need. Amyrin occasionally returned to the Jedi Temple to share his stories and pick up new skills.

One of his missions brought him to Sith space, where he was supposed to meet with an influential figure on Axxila, who had a strong resentment towards the Sith Empire. Witnessing the injustice and cruelty of the Empire firsthand, Amyrin had a strong desire to stay and try to make a difference. This was further amplified by the person he was supposed to meet on Axxila; a woman who shared many of his opinions. Believing it to be the will of the Force, Amyrin began to build a resistance movement against the Imperial government, secretly funded by his new ally.

In the months that followed, his resistance movement proved to be a major thorn in the Empire’s side. Employing guerrilla tactics to cripple the Empire’s supply lines, his movement grew in size and reputation. For 19 months, he valiantly fought against the Empire, suffering almost no losses. During those months, he even fell in love with the woman who funded them from Axxila.

Shortly after the golden age of his resistance movement ended, Amyrin’s luck would finally run out. Due to increased Imperial presence in the mid-western territory of the Empire, the freedom fighters quickly lost support and many of their assets. In a desperate attempt to save his organization, the freedom fighters wanted to move what little they still had left to a secret hideout on Concord Dawn. This went horribly wrong, however, as they were intercepted by Imperial Forces shortly after they reached Concord Dawn. Giving no quarter, the Imperial forces annihilated the freedom fighters. All except one; Amyrin himself.

Later, in the most sophisticated torture rooms of the Imperial prisons, Amyrin would learn that they were betrayed by his own lover. The woman had been offered credits and a seat in the sector’s government, in exchange for his plans and position. The years that followed after his capture would be nothing but excruciating pain for him as the Empire tortured him into submission. With his spirit broken, Amyrin was subjected to Imperial doctrine until his beliefs and ideals were fully warped.

With seemingly no end to the torture, Amyrin’s future looked grim. That was, until a member of the Sith Order came across the prisoner. Seeing potential in the Sephi, Darth Malevolum had him released, taking him as her apprentice and teaching him the ways of the Sith.

  • APPEARANCE:
    unknown.png
His unique dark gray skin and hair, combined with his bright yellow eyes and pointy ears, make Amyrin an easily recognizable figure. Less visible but still present, are the many scars that cover his body; results of his torture and the many battles he fought. Despite these mutilations, Amyrin can still be considered a handsome man. Someone who carries himself with confidence, and who always seems ready and in control.

Preferring to stay on the sidelines unless called forward, Amyrin typically wears long, identity concealing robes. Not only to these black Sith robes conceal his identity, but also the legionnaire armor he sometimes wears underneath.

  • PROS & CONS (Required: 2 Cons Minimum) :
    Pros:

    Trained Force user
As an experienced Force wielder, Amyrin is a force to be reckoned with. The Dark side comes naturally to him, commanding it with great control and a patience many Sith apprentices lack.

    Experienced combatant

A Jedi, freedom fighter and now a Sith apprentice, Amyrin has had his fair share of battles. He is a calm, competent and level-headed fighter, with knowledge of many techniques and combat styles; both with and without his lightsaber.

    Ultimate Devil’s Advocate.
Many of his victories back when he opposed the Empire, could be credited to his tactical mindset. Amyrin loves mental sparring, thriving on the process of shredding arguments and beliefs to better understand another’s reasoning and opposing ideas, or to achieve a strategic goal. It is this very method of thinking that makes him a dangerous opponent, both in and out of battle.

    Cons:
    Darth Malevolum
Being the one who gave him a new purpose in life, Amyrin naturally looks up her. He is loyal to a fault, and some might argue that he even developed feelings for her, although he tries his utmost to suppress those feelings, knowing full well that one day he will have to kill her and take her place as a Sith Lord; or die trying.

    Man of his word.
Amyrin is an honest person, rarely lying or trying to manipulate others. He prides himself on being ‘a man of his word’, and will always honor a promise made, no matter his own opinion.

    Imperial Torture Chambers.
Having witnessed and felt the horrors of the Imperial Torture Chambers, Amyrin fears nothing more than captivity by the Empire's hand. It ensures his loyalty, as the fear has kept him in line for many years already./slide]
