- Description: An extremely large temple (imagine floors being 2.5 times as tall, Sims 3 is limiting unfortunately), Anáil na Beatha was built to house both the Goddess of Life and Her Son, the God of Earth, by the Anam people. There are no windows on the building, except for one on the ceiling of the treasure room. On full moon nights, the green moon of Vanquo shines through an opening in the mountain, through the window, and onto the sacred amulet of the Goddess of Life.
The first floor contains bathrooms, an eating area, four bedrooms, a wine "cellar", and three Wells of Life created by the Goddess during the temples destruction using her blood. One of these wells contains the key to a hidden door within the maze on the fourth floor. Charred stones on the left and right sides of the room imply cooking fires were tended there, though this is the only evidence of such. The second floor houses a green room, storage room with various meats and food kept fresh from magical stasis, 10 Nakghouls in stasis in pods, which will open when one steps within 5m (distance can be blocked by walls), and 5 tapestries behind the stairs to the third floor. The third floor has family bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a library full of the Anam's magical, scientific, and historical knowledge, with 4 meditation rooms attached.
There are two staircases leading up to the fourth floor. The staircase leading up to the left goes into a small room with a door. Next to the door is an engraved plaque, which reads in an unknown language, "He who was born of Earth, shall guide thee Home." Beyond the door is a black colored room, built to house the God of Earth. On the far end of the room, is a door that leads to a greenhouse, with various types of fruit trees. The lighting in this room mimics UV rays, allowing the plants to grow. The staircase leading to the right goes straight into a complex maze.
The maze has many wrong turns, rubble, traps of many kinds, and 37 Nekghouls lying in wait to attack any intruders. Near the middle of the maze is a keyhole, that when unlocked with the key hidden in one of the Wells of Life on the first floor, opens a hidden door at the end of the maze. Through this door is a hallway leading to the Offering Room for the Goddess of Life. This room holds many miscellaneous treasures that were meant to be given as gifts from the Anam people. These treasures are nothing more than trinkets, until blessed by the Goddess. Beyond the Offering Room is a long hallway, leading up to a flight of stairs that goes into the Goddess Room.
The Goddess Room is by far the largest room of the temple, and possibly the city. Meant to house the Anam's Goddess of Life herself, the walls give off nothing but light. On the far end of the room is a pedestal which holds the keystone to the Treasure Room door. Through this door, is a small room with a circular staircase leading downstairs to the temple's Treasure Room. In this Treasure Room resides multiple force-imbued objects blessed by the Goddess of Life.
SECURITY
High, 47 Nekghouls reside in black, sarcophagi-like pods, awaiting to be awoken from stasis. The Goddess of Life, and The God of Earth also reside in the temple. The maze on the fourth floor is also laid with multiple traps.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Built by the Anam people millennia ago when they built Anam City, Anáil na Beatha Temple was built to house their God and Goddess. Inhabited initially by the priests and priestesses, the Goddess brought 56 Nekghouls to the city during one of Her trips off-world. In an act of mercy, She allowed the Nekghouls to coexist with Her worshipers. For many years the temple and the city prospered. However, the Goddess slowly became corrupted through the Dark Side, eventually also corrupting Her Son. Together, they were driven insane, and in an attempt to placate the Goddess in one of Her outbursts, killed the Head Priestess and 9 Nekghouls.
After this incident, the priesthood decided to put the temple into stasis, and abandon the city entirely to search for a way to say their God and Goddess. They remodeled the Hall of Elders into a large maze, placing 37 of the remaining 47 Nekghouls into the maze, and setting up traps and rubble throughout the maze to delay or kill any intruders should they find the city and enter the temple. The remaining 10 Nekghouls were placed at the entrance, and the entire temple was placed into a magical stasis through the priesthood's runes.
