An Accidental Encounter

Drax stood in the open sunshine in the city of Salis D'aal, enjoying every ray of it. He had been confined in his flametrooper armor for so long, undergoing missions, training, but now he was free on leave. Not to far from the First Order, just in case he was recalled to duty in case of emergency. Drax glanced up at the tall hotel building he had just come out of, big but not luxurious, that was for sure.

He began a little walk around the area, the whole city being circular, there was a lot of ground to cover before he made it back. This was part of his exercise for the day, much less then the usual amount done while on duty, but he still needed to stay in shape on break.

He was having a nice and warm stroll when he ran into somebody, probably because he was watching the speeder traffic above him. Drax looked at the young woman he had bumped into, "I am so sorry ma'am, are you...ok..." He gazed into her eyes, the Zeltronian had the most beautiful eyes, Drax shook his head little trying to remain in this world, "Are you ok?"

Joza drew in a slow breath, holding it for a few moments before letting it out. Through the exhale, she could feel her body begin to relax. After spending her time at the temple on Sollust, the Zeltron had desperately missed the carefree atmosphere of her home planet. She had obtained permission to go to Bakura, a peaceful planet that might help calm her nerves and get her settled again. The fresh air and tranquil setting finally allowed her to start to organize her thoughts.

She felt lonely, and in the same vein, vulnerable. She didn’t realize how much she would miss her mother and her home after leaving, and it was something that she continued to struggle with during her training. She did her best to be strong and concentrate on the path of the jedi, but her self-doubt was always lingering in the back of her mind. Wanting to move away from the more urban areas and into one of the quieter valleys for reflection, the pink-skinned woman made her way to find a transport.

As she walked, she closed her eyes and tried to feel the force around her. She had heard of force sight, but didn’t know of anyone who was able to utilize it. It didn’t exactly work for her, especially as she felt herself bump into another person. Her eyes flew open as she shook the recoil off before blinking at the taller figure. She tilted her head to the side as the man trailed off before asking if she was okay. “I’m alright. Sorry, I wasn’t looking where I was going.” She paused, taking in the man for a moment. “Are you alright, sir?”

Drax grinned, "Yes, I am very alright." Drax waited there for a second, giving the air an awkward tense, "Oh, my name is pri-, Drax Shean, just Drax Shean." He decided not to tell her of his rank in the First Order, there were many resistance sympathizers out there as well as others who did not like the First Order much, and Drax himself was starting to dislike them. Drax continued the conversation,

"So, where are you headed on this beautiful day on Bakura?"

Joza tilted her head to the side, but otherwise forced her body to relax. There was no use in being so uptight here, on this peaceful planet. After all, didn’t she come here to relax? It would do no harm to engage in some friendly conversation.

“Nice to meet you, Drax. You can call me Joza.” She offered the man a tiny smile, trying to appear more open than she actually was. “I was planning on heading into the valley. I hear that it’s a quiet place, good to do some meditation and reflection. And yourself?”

Drax lied, but for a good reason, "Oh, I was just going out there, yea, I uh.. am doing sabbatical from my position as a..." He was bad at lying, really bad, but he had to come up with something fast, "As an open-contract mercantile pilot. You wouldn't believe all the stress of being a pilot with all the pirates and... stuff." And with that, Drax tried to drift away from his terrible lie by staying silent for the next minute.

Joza quirked a brow, feeling that Drax’s words didn’t ring quite true. Still, the apprentice Jedi didn’t sense any ill intent about him. She didn’t shrug the feeling off completely, but allowed herself to relax enough so that she didn’t appear so rigid. “It looks like we’re headed the same way then…are you taking your own ship? Or using a transport?”

Drax grinned, it seemed she had bought the lie, or at least she hadn't investigated into his false statement, "Transport, my co-pilot is currently running our transit line, so I am stuck out here on my own for the next week until she picks me up." He held out his arm, motioning towards the transport, "Would you care to join me as we walk to the station?"

Joza’s gaze followed his arm to the transport station and then back to Drax. He seemed friendly enough, but then again he could simply be lying. The young woman looked back over at him, hesitating for a few moments. She’d been pretty good at picking up other’s emotions due to her Zeltron blood, and still could not sense any inward hostility. “Alright.” She agreed, tilting her head in the direction of station before she began walking. “Have you been to Bakura before?”

"Well, no. I have never been here on the lovely world of Bakura before. Although I do know a bit about it's luscious history, mainly about the wily Ssi-ruuks and the invasion, their obscure background always interested me." Drax walked with the young woman, he was happy to be with her, better time spent than wasting his leave time trying to find things to do. "Now might I restate the question towards you?"

Joza listened with an open ear, hesitating when the question was turned back to her. “I haven’t.” She shook her head, brushing a lock of red hair behind her ear. “But I’ve heard that it’s a good place to relax. For meditation and focusing inwards, especially.” She pauses, a thin smile tugging at her lips. “This place reminds me of Zeltros a little. It’s not as flashy or loud, but it makes me feel…good.”
