An Android

I am not sure if this is in the right forum area, if it is not in the right area please let me know.


Anyway, I think one of my characters (Rafeesh) may want to, at some later point, try and develop an android that looks like his love from 4 millennia ago (there's about). Now, he would like to try and give this droid an advanced AI so that it(her as he keeps calling it) may react as closely to Shanna as possible. I would like to help him with this but I needed to know what I was getting into before stepping in it.

So for the body, will Rafeesh need to talk to scavengers for the metals, and metal artists for turning the metals into workable parts, and computer experts to create a system that can hold the necessary AI?

Then for the AI itself, will he have to go for the restricted AI?

The AI, I believe, would still be a droid AI, so you should be good there. The parts... maybe, depends on how much there is that it can do. For an anesthetic piece, you shouldn't need much. Unless this droid can level city blocks or something.

Well I doubt Rafeesh wants a droid capable of leveling cities, or any sized area. He just said that he wanted it to look like her at this point, he might give it more abilities at a later point. Any suggestions on upgrades to give droids better overall capabilities?
Rafeesh says he wants an AI that learns, if possible. Does that change anything?

Well aside from being someone he can talk to. He wants to have someone to have his back in a firefight. It is mostly just for social reasons. (Before anyone says it, it is purely friend relationship, nothing beyond that)
