An Interesting Proposition (Enigma)

If ever there was a planet of business then Sluis Van was a perfect spot. Nothing but rocks and industrial workings that made a rather "rich picture". Oddly though the main head of this planet was a business itself, run by one [member="Enigma"] as most knew her. Darth Raven of the One Sith Empire and it's sub-faction, the Covenant of the Black Rose, had heard of this woman from rumors and word of mouth among the other Sith. She was one herself but was not as connected with the Empire as most others. She was something of an independent case. The perfect place to look.
Raven was recently helping the sisterhood covenant with the development of bio-engineered weapons against the Empire's enemies. These ranged from new breeds of Sithspawn to viruses with the intent to create mindless beasts of war. Raven was developing her own special experiment but had needed further resources that, to her dismay, most of the other sub-divisions of the Sith could not provide. But given what she'd known of this Enigma she did have small dealings in the past. And, to make it better, her company was not too well known for such things. It was a perfect cover if anyone had ever come snooping.
A message had been sent about her arrival before taking a shuttle from Courascant out to Sluis Van to meet with Miss Enigma. Hopefully both of them would be able to reach a decent agreement.

The receptionist had previously noticed a new individual named Sophie who had requested the meeting. Hopefully, she would soon arrive for the meeting. Vanessa didn't recognize the woman - certainly not from her tenure as a Sith - but would still potentially work with her. The hazardous research lab did carry a wide variety of copiously villainous armaments.

Some of which were terrifyingly lethal.

After arriving in front of the receptionist for the business owned by [member="Enigma"] Raven was quick to accnoune "Let Ms. Circe Savan know that Darth Raven is here to meet with her. I do believe I have an appointment." She kept a very dark and foreboding composure as she waited.

"Miss, we don't have a 'Darth Raven' registered for a meeting. Please wait for a moment." She pressed on her headpiece. "Miss Kuhn, a 'Darth Raven' wishes to speak with you... Yes yes, I don't see her... Alright, gladly." She sighed. "Miss, I'm going to need your actual name as put down in our logs in order to give you clearance."

A simple formality, nothing too big.

She had only just arrived and already she was annoyed by the red tape and so on that she needed just to attain a meeting with [member="Enigma"] . When asked for her name she sighed, not use to using it in public ever since she had officially gained it as a Sith Knight. But if it wasthe only way...
"Sophie Gustav." she sated reluctantly.

"Ah, yes, I see you here on the list. Head down the hallway, her office is at the far end to your left." The receptionist soon returned to doing other duties on the computer, leaving Miss Gustav to meet with the boss - currently sorting papers in her office. Though she was scarcely sure as to what turn of events would ultimately be required, one thing was certain - this would be fun.

In a wide variety of ways.

Raven sighed before finally walking down the hall to meet with [member="Enigma"] in person. She removed her cloak and kept it on her arm as she approached the door, finally being able to see her. A beauty to say the least, which surprised Raven a fraction. As she cae to the desk she bowed her head and said "Miss Circe, correct?"

"I believe you're mistaken... I'm Vanessa Kuhn." She raised an eyebrow - on one hand, the room in question indicated that she was Vanessa. On the other... how did this woman know who she was? She had done her best to cover her tracks - then again, perhaps she had failed to do so to a right and proper degree.

In due time, she would deal with the situation.

With the correction of the name Raven stopped herself and said "Oh, yes. Forgive me. I suppose y 'information' isn't what I thought it was." She was implying she knew through the Sith connections she had. Either way her identity was not something she was worried about, nor cared about either. "In any case I'm glad you were able to see me, ma'am." She looked around for a seat before asking if she was allowed to.

"Please, take a seat." She smiled. "So, what brings you to my corporation, Miss Gustav?" She wondered how the obvious Sith would react, given the consistent professionalism and usage of her real name.

As Raven sat she began to explain "Well, my good woman, from what I understand you had a history with the Sith. In recent years there have been many sub-factions that have grown out of the new Empire. One of which I belong to. Our division deals in developing new weapons, both mechanical and biological, to benefit the cause. I've recently started my own personal experiment but lack the needed resources. Now you and I both know a small portion of your company deals with some in this area. Which I why I was hoping we could reach some sort of arrangement."

"...unfortunately, my business is with the Republic at the moment." She frowned, sad that the woman was so abashedly explicit. "Chiefly regarding the artful development of weapons capable of swiftly dissolving yorik-kul. I have little desire admittedly to associate myself with such individuals, betraying the Republic not something I desire to see my company go through." She raised an eyebrow. "What precisely is going on regarding the Sith? Your implication is that the unity we've been hearing from the propaganda machine isn't quite so legitimate."

Perhaps there was information to be gained from this.

So her dealings were with the Republic now? Apparently the people who gave her the information either did not know or failed to share that piece of information with Darth Raven herself. Now she felt silly for having come all this way to speak with [member="Enigma"] just to find out she wouldn't help. She cleared her throat before saying "I'm afraid I'm less inclined to share such information, especially if it's true that you ARE working for the Republic. I doubt you would do the same in my position." She stood and fixed herself before saying "Perhaps this has been a mistake the entire time..."

"Not necessarily. I don't deal with the Sith as a galactic power, but depending on the circumstances, I may be able to do something with you... if your intentions are truly benign." She smiled, scratching at her chin before looking over the Sith woman. "How fortunate... You've yet to suffer much of the debilitating effects of Dark Side corruption. Or perhaps you wish to know some ancient secret to nigh-immortality?"

A hint was perhaps all she needed.
