And another round of feedback for Abyss.

So I know that the last thread like this wasn't to long ago, but I have done like a lot with Abyss this past month. (I think over 200 posts or something around that.)

There are two things that I am most interested in getting feedback for about Abyss as a character.

The first one is his way to fight. PvP is something I enjoy greatly, but I decided right from the start to give him a more exotic and out there approach to combat. In his last few fights I have done my best to flesh that out some more, employing a lot of trickery and deception instead of wilde saber swinging. But the thing is, how do you all see that? Is it dumb, to much, way less cool than I think it is? Let me know.

The other thing is, with an upcoming arc that will move him far away from humanity and being human I have decided to embrace his more human traits until everything is in place. I always tried to give him some sense of humor, but one that was used very sparse in his history, and now I felt like upping it just a little bit. Does it feel better than before or worse? Again let me know.

Also any other feedback is obviously equally appreciated. Thanks you.

Edit: Bonus question: Has someone ever picked up on the fact hat Abyss never uses contractions when speaking (Like "do not" instead of "don't"), as part of giving him a more recognisable speak pattern?

It's been interesting seeing him from the viewpoint of two different characters. From Matsu's point of view - in the Doormat thread for example - he's quiet and menacing. I feel like I'm seeing the thing he will become which is an exciting glance in to the future. Granted, they are still feeling each other out in what's basically a room full of predators so her impression is limited - but it still stands.

Onley has seen something of Abyss' humor and I truly get what you're doing with the 'humanizing'. I was actually just writing my reply and thinking about how I love seeing something of the man underneath the crowned hood. I think trying to make the future transition more poignant by developing his human traits now is really smart and creative.

And as far as your fighting style goes I can honestly say I'm not biased because I write both a ranged sorcerer and a brutal tank, so when I say that I thoroughly enjoy reading Abyss twist others in to taking themselves out instead of having to do it himself...I mean it. Please continue.

Lastly, I just wanted to mention that I think the board is better for your presence OOC. I've seen you be nothing but accommodating, friendly, and fair and it's been awesome starting to work on a couple projects with you. Keep doing you.
