The Imperial Palace was truly a sight to behold Valessia thought each time she walked on the steps. First Order banners hung from the building with pride, and all around her were proud men and women of the empire. She took in a deep breath as today there would be a minor briefing regarding some more in house matters. It could probably have been shortened to a holo but then she would not get to see all the beautiful faces of her staff. In fact today she planned to visit many within the Diplomatic Corps and see how they were getting on. As the Baroness walked along the polished floor of the palace, her heels made their clicks and clacks against it. She smiled and waved to the interns as they passed, to those who worked in the support offices, and most especially the ones who worked in the on site café.Across the main floor as she walked over the seal of the government pass the front desk and straight for the lifts. Valessia could see the flags of the First Order, Dosuun, the First Order Government, and Avalonia all lined up behind the desk reflected in the titanium crafted doors that pulled back and allowed passengers off the lift and others like the Baroness on. The doors pulled to a close as she marked the floors for everyone there, and the subtle joke of penthouse floor was made. "Good morning minister," someone said with a smile, one of the mail clerks tipped off his hat.
"Good morning Berlioz, how are you?" She said to him with a smile, "how's your wife?"
"Oh I'm doin' quite well, thank you, and she's very well indeed. Oh, here's me the floor, have a good day minister."
"And a good day to you, Berlioz." Valessia side stepped to allow others to get on the lift and waited patiently as the lift moved up to the floor she needed.
Upon exit, she headed straight down the hall and took a left and could see at the end of the hall.
FOREIGN AFFAIRS.
Security stopping each person, no matter who they were to give them a check over with a wand while they emptied their wallets, and set purses and shoes on a conveyer belt so that all items could be screened properly as they walked through another set of body scanners. It was a routine that the Baroness had become accustomed to by this point. And when it was over she set her shoes and purse together and headed into the office. "Good morning Maryne."
"Good morning, coffee's ready and the café is sending up a cart with the morning's goods. You have a meeting with Curavo Shipping by holo in two hours, and your first meeting with the diplomatic corps is set to start in twenty minutes."
"Thank you, Maryne." Valessia acknowledged as she headed down to her office through the glass doors that bore the seal of her office and her name MINISTER VALESSIA CREED at the top.
