And I'm not even drunk, this time... (Nomad)

I was lying on the floor in my new apartment on Eclipstica, not really knowing what to do with myself at this point. Rikki wasn't around today, for whatever reason had tempted her out into the city, and I needed somebody to talk to, at least. Romeo, being Romeo, was running around doing kingly stuff. Mit had disappeared off to somewhere, and no amount of bribery or trackers could find him. Oka was gone someplace with the Silver Jedi.

That left Nomad... and there was no telling where he was, but at least I had an (apparently) working holonet number for him. I talked into an answering machine, with a grin.

"Well, Tails... Been awhile, and I need to talk to you. Got a job. Of the permanent kind."

Nomad was wondering around on some random location. He was meant to be practising the force but Nomad being Nomad he wasn't. When his comlink flared to life he jumped, startling a few people. "oh, Hi Cross..... what did you want to talk about?" he asked into his wrist mounted comlink.

I grinned, even though Nomad couldn't see me. My green-skinned friend had been one of the first people I'd trusted to cover my back since I'd come out of stasis. Along with Romeo, Rikki, Aedan, and Oka, the Nautolan kid was one of my best friends. Of course I was calling him.

"I think... I can get you and whatever friends you feel like bringing along permanent jobs. And you, specifically, a master. Heard anything from Oka, recently?"

"Permanent job? Sounds good." Nomad said, realising how little money he had. He went silent when asked about Oka "Nothing for months" he finally said shakily into his commlink. "Where can I find you?" he asked picking up again. He could pretty good at masking his emotions when he was down.

I sighed, still not getting up at all. At least the comlink was just on my wrist, so I could talk without moving much. I could tell that Oka was possibly not the greatest subject to bring up with his former apprentice. Pulling the comlink up to my face again, I looked around for something to do.

"Eplistica. Citadel of the Shadows and whatnot. Me and Rikki just moved in here."

"Right" Nomad replied, he had already started on his way to his ship when the conversation started.

"I'll be there in a few hours" he said, switching his commlink off he entered the ship, fired up the engines, broke several docking laws, and off he went.
The trip would take long, but seem short for Nomad, he was caught up on the question that nawed his mind Where is Oka? His Navicomputer was beeping at him and he disengaged the hyperdrive. Cross had already sent him an adress on where to land, perfect. Landing where he was meant to, he found the apartment that was in question and knocked several times on the door.
