And then there were two

Arla was sitting on the grass with her son Avrum, they had returned to Mandalore and her home after disappearing for more than a year. Within that year Arla had given birth to Avrum her reasons for leaving were her own, and she did not know if anyone would understand but it also was not uncommon for Vod to go missing and then return.

She returned plus one.

His platinum blonde hair did not show any signs of changing to her red to the color of his father's. She wondered at times about the father even when her mind blurred some and changed facts. One moment she made him single and daring, another she had him married and skulking about. The latter always made her laugh could she see him skulking about to slip into a window and into her bed again? maybe, who knew the galaxy was funny like that.

Either way she had Avrum and he was the joy and light of her heart. His words were slow in coming teaching him mandalorian first, basic second so that he would fit in on Mandalore.

He was so bright so beautiful was there ever such a beautiful boy.

Her heart swelled with pride as he walked slowly toward her, learning to walk is a difficult feat she marveled at how hard somethings were that she took for granted as everyday and natural.

"What a great job!" Arla clapped as Avrum broke into a two tooth smile.

He eyes were bright like the stars his hair shone polished under the sun, her son, her ad'ika. Even though she was alone with him she felt as though she could tackle the world. For him she would take on anything.

"mama" he cooed as he came closer to her. "yes baby" She reached out and brought him close ruffling his hair, "Are you getting hungry? I have yogurt melts, cookies, oranges, water, and milk for you." Whatever he would eat was what she gave him, he wasn't a pudgy child he was tiny and just right for his size.

He came and sat in her lap babbling something that she could only nod to and listen, and hope that she didn't nod yes for something she'd regret.
