And what is it you will do?

[member="Lady Kay"]

- Bakura -
Yusan sat in the room, two squads of shadow legionnaires hidden in the shadows while a few men from them were in plain sight with him. He was here to meet the woman named Lady Kay and he was not here to do so under the pretense of courtesy. He had questions for the woman, and he would learn if she was someone no different than the recent tyrant or if he was to have someone who actually cared for the actions took. Someone who preserved what the Republic was meant to be ad not someone who stood and made themselves a dictator. He still remember Lasedri's murder of the Imperials she imprisoned. The woman would die and he would see to it if nothing else.
But for now he focused his eyes on the far side of the meeting room he was in. There were no windows that could see him, and he would have made sure of that. The last thing he needed was for a sniper to take off his head. He still didn't even trust the senator though, his saber sitting on the table infront of him in plain view. He had done this many times in the past as Void, he would do it many times in the future if it was required of him. Hopefully he would not need to use the blade on this woman, as long as she did not attack and try to kill him for speaking about the woman she served under, he would not need to.

Usually bounty hunters or friends came looking for her on Bakura. Mostly the former. Regardless she had no security staff and the agent of G.R.I.M. that was assigned to her had been recalled to deal with....other matters.

Kay needed to get away. The horrors of what she had seen and what she had voted for was too much to bear. And given that she had voted for it, the guards that were once keeping her in her office were no longer required. But maybe this meeting was to show her differently?

As she stepped into the meeting room, her satchel slung over her shoulder, providing her with her only comfort, she shrunk down her Force signiture to that of a small tree nut and eyed the soldiers standing near to [member="Yusan Fenn"] , as well as the lightsaber on the table.

Kay pulled out a chair and placed her satchel on the table. "Afternoon...Do you mind if I fix up some Sapir tea? It calms me.."

[member="Lady Kay"]

Yusan stared at the woman with a hard face, his eyes unshaking and then on the satchel itself. He had no feeling of danger from her but a quick glance to his side man told him that the man had a shield grenade ready incase that package turned out to be a blasted bomb. He could not trust her or any Republic official anymore with the fear they might have sided with the woman who was nothing more than a tyrant.

"Feel free to do so, i have a drink of my own so no need to offer me any..." He waited for the woman to do as she needed in order to be calm. IF anything from him would be obvious to her, it was the fact he did not smile or trust her at any moment from she had first entered to the next moment in their little meeting. His hands remained on the table, inches from his saber and more than ready to act if he needed to. "When you are ready, do tell me. I have a few questions before i tell you hy i called you to here."

It took a few minutes with the crumpling of tea leaves into her cup and the pouring of water, but her tea was made. It was cold, but it was made. She pulled out a chair across from [member="Yusan Fenn"] and placed her satchel on her lap while she waited for her cold tea to steep.

During this whole process she had been uncharacteristically silent as her mind was reeling. They were Republic, that was now obvious, but what were they doing here and which Republic were they? It was hard to tell at the moment and whoever they were, she had to tread carefully.

She eyed each of the few soldiers that she could see and then looked at the man before her. "...I'm ready...."

"The republic has been taken over by a tyrant, one who will not live soon but i will find myself unable to correct those things that have tainted the Republic... You if i remember correctly, voted to allow that tyrant the power she needed to do what she has done and for that you are honestly no less a traitor to the Republic's ideals than her..." He paused to run a hand though his hair and look towards a far window he could not see though. "Now, with that said, i want to ask what it was that you Senator Kay thought to do about all this. You are here before me which means you must have understood what would happen to you if you are caught talking with someone who by no means is loyal to that woman. And would love to place the blade of this saber in her heart for destroying the very thing i died to protect once upon a time. Now i want to know how you will work to fix this mistake?"

Kay lowered her gaze from [member="Yusan Fenn"] to her cup, tracing her thumb along it's edge as she listened, much like a prisoner being read out their crimes during a trial. Of course she felt guilty about the whole thing, but she had no choice. "I am not a traitor...Yes I voted for her, but that doesn't mean that I wanted to, nor that I like what she's doing. I don't know what I will do to fix this yet, which is why I came to Bakura. I needed time to think. Those executions were wrong, everything is wrong and I need to breathe before I do anything that could give me the same fate as those Imperials."

There was a lot that she couldn't tell him nor anyone about. Either way her head was on the chopping block it seemed.

He stared hard at her for a few long seconds before sighing and grabbing his saber, but instead of activating it he waved his hand over its surface and let the thing fall to pieces. "Calm down, im not here to murder you or condemn you... I hold no more right to do so than that tyrant did when she murdered those men and women... You will understand something though and to understand this you will need to know something about me. I was born without a home, i was given one purpose to redeem myself in the eyes of my grandparents and that was to serve the Republic. From that day forth i have done what ever was necessary to make sure the Republic remains alive at all times in the way that it should. The Republic stands for freedom, both personal, economic, and so much more. It stands not for a overall good but rather what is right and wrong... The Jedi support the Republic because it is the Republic that does what is right. Not what is good or evil. We have created bioweapons, commited Genocides, and much worse in the past in the name of doing what is right... what we thought was right like your vote. But, that is part of learning, it is a first step towards Redemption in realizing that what you have done was far worse than you intended."

He paused to bring the crystal of his saber to his palm, the icy blue color of it shining. "This is a Permafrost Crystal. It lets me remember who i am fighting for and why. That purpose is why i will stand beside the Republic because it is to me Home. If you want to change what you did then let me suggest something to you. There are others who will oppose the actions of that woman, that Tyrant. Help them, and not only from a chair in safety. But also in your own actions. Only when you lay down your life for another living being, when you oppose what is wrong in this galaxy. Will you be a true servant to the people of the Republic. They gave you that chair you are sitting in, do not squander it."

Kay listened to his story, at times looking up at him, while at other times she just stared at her cup. She didn't dare take a sip until after he had finished speaking. She didn't want to be rude.

There was so much that she wanted to say in response. But what was it that Agent Kearney told her? Not to trust anyone. She trusted him, as well as Mantic and Faith with most of her secrets and she got arrested for it. And when the Prime Minister got involved, well, the Tyrant owned her after that.

But what to tell [member="Yusan Fenn"]? He was speaking as though she had spent all her time in the Senate and in a safe little bubble, when in reality, there was no safety for her anywhere. But at least she only had her own life to lose in this and nothing else.

Kay glanced up at the few soldiers that she could see and then to Yusan. "Just as I know so little about you, you know so little about me. I know...I know that my vote was the wrong choice. But it wasn't one to tip the scale. I hoped for it to be defeated. But that didn't happen. Yet I had little choice but to vote the way that I did." She paused as she took a sip of her cold tea. "I had been in a similar position before. Different circumstances, but similar all the same. Back then I chose what was right and I lost everything...My husband, my home, my friends, everything was taken from me. So I ran and hid out of fear and despair for a time until it seemed safe. And I went to Hutt Space, got a high paying COO job of a company that soon turned evil. I stepped down and it has since gotten worse, my former boss blaming me for it. So...I thought that I could fix that, joined the Republic and was voted as Senator of a planet heavy with trade. What little money I made, I used all of it in my efforts to free slaves from the Hutt Cartel. I gathered allies from many different sides and freed slaves through various missions and attacks. Each of them were either taken to their homes or found new ones within the Republic. I have no home, no ship, no staff, no family, nothing that could be taken from me again."

She took another sip of her tea. "With all due respect, sir, I have laid down my life many times. The high priced bounties on my head prove that. And Commenor's economy is doing very, very well because of it. That's not to say that I won't do it again, but....I don't want anyone else to die because of my choices. I am not a traitor to the Republic, nor am I a bad person. I am just naive into believing that there's good in everyone...and some have taken advantage of that."

"Oh?" His face remained straight as he watched her. He knew far more than he would let on. His and her mutual... friend had told him all he needed to know about this woman and she was doing just as well as the man had said. 'Maybe i should lay off her a small bit...' His voice, sounding within his mind echoed out its words into his thoughts once more. She was after all the first of the new blood Senators he had the pleasure of meeting and she did not shrink away like others would have. That was good to see... especially when she struck him so closely. He had lived as she did once upon a time, with nothing but his job and that was all. He gave away all to protect and serve others, ending his life with that decision. It was one that gave him a new look on life and it made him smile.

That smile would show clearly as he started to laugh and looked over at Therin. "DO you remember when that burned up man of a king tried to act like he was my superior during the last conversation. No wonder he held this one in such regards. Shes a strong one..." He laughed to himself once more as the Shadow Legionnaire cocked a smile as well. "Lady Senator. Let me fully introduce myself. Yusan Fenn, Former Vice Chancellor, and former Echani. I seem to remember that if you knew anything about me it would be my death on... some Chiss world against the One Sith. Solan sure was right in that you are more than you appear at first glance. Did you know that man used to work for me back during my senate days?"

Kay just blinked as the man broke out in laughter. And the conversation he had with one of the soldiers was equally confusing. But then he introduced himself and some of it fell back into place. [member="Yusan Fenn"] . Solan Charr. She had a sip of her cold tea as she tried to put everything together in away that would make sense. But nothing in this situation made sense.

"Pleasure to meet you, though the circumstances are....Well let's face it. Most of my encounters with Solan were hardly during good times either. But he's a good ally to have."
