"And you are....."

Thalia groaned to herself as she sat through another day of boring lessons on who was important to know and what happened recently and who it was that she needed to talk to in the future and why it was so important to look extremely bored with any news that is brought to her... ok so that last one might be a bit too easy for her at this point as she watched the face of the teacher and soon found her gaze wandering to the outside where she grinned. "Hey uh, Mister Hoy. I think thats your hat running away." She smiled as he looked over to where she was pointing her body reacted faster than his and out the window she was, the drop only a few feet.

Knowing he would see her if she ran for it she pressed her body into the bushes under the window and looked up to see his head poke out of the window, scanning everywhere for her while muttering 'not again'. After a minute his head was gone and she was heading for the city, her hands taking a cloak and clothing from a friend of hers that was a servent at the palace and soon she was happily free to explore.. though she knew she had to be careful for now.

Where's this family I've heard nothing about?
Eric was wandering the marketplace, bored out of his mind. Everyday was the same lately. Wake up, wander the streets, go home, eat dinner with his family, and then go to sleep. He desperately wanted something to break the monotony that his daily life had become. The teen sighed softly, looking up at sky, silently praying for something to break him out of the rut he was in. He thought he spotted just the think when he noticed a cloaked girl walking through the market place. She was extremely pretty beneath the hood of her cloak, from what he could see. Thalia hid her face as best she could, not really watching where she was going as she was still cautious of nearly everyone. The assassin that killed her father had never been caught and he had died in her arms. He hated herself for not being able to stop that fact and now she sighed as her body continued to move through the market place where she lowered her head a bit further as she passed by some guards. Her hands came up to her arms as she rubbed them and turned to look at a stand before realizing she had left her credits back at home. She was hungry and didnt want to go home yet so she started over to it carefully, watching to make sure the guards didnt see her as she tried to pick up one of the fruits and leave.

Eric saw her about to shoplift the fruit and raced over. "Hey! No need to walk off. I can pay for it for you," he offered with a smile. He had no problem handing over a few credits if it gave him an excuse to talk to the pretty girl. He waved the person running the little stand over and slipped her a small handful of credits before gathering up a few more fruits. The half-Echani smiled over at her as he carried the rest of what was now their food for the day. "So, care to tell me your name? Mine's Eric." [member="Thalia Rist"]

Thalia blinked as the random guy showed up infront of her and offered to pay for the fruit, looking down a bit more to hide her face again and sigh as he did so. She hated when people had to go out of their way to help her, she could handle it herself and the worst part was now he was back and asking her name. She couldn't really tell him in the middle of this crowded place nor did she want to if she wanted to relax the rest of the day. "Can we go to the public gardens or something first, maybe somewhere where there isnt so many people...." She had her one hand on the fruit and the other holding her cloak tight around her, touching a small blade on the inside of the cloak incase this guy tried something.

"Sure! The gardens are rather nice. Or, if you don't want to go there, my parents are botanists and we have a pretty nice garden in the courtyard of our home. It has plants from all over the galaxy. I understand if you don't, it's just an offer," Eric explained, rubbing the back of his neck nervously as he talked to her. She seemed rather afraid for some reason and he felt like he may have done something to upset her. "I uh... I'm sorry if me paying for the fruit bothered you. I just try to help out everyone I can, whenever I can. It's the way I was raised." [member="Thalia Rist"]

She watched him for a few moments as he rubbed the back of his neck while suggesting she come to see the garden in his home. She didn't recognize him but it seemed like he had a large enough home and money. She tapped her hands on her side for a second before pulling the cloak tighter around herself. "No its ok, paying for the fruit was kind of you when i forgot my credits at my home..." She still had her vibroknife if he tried to hurt her and he seemed about the same age as her so... ok ill come visit your garden." She didn't really know if he was to be trusted or not but it was better than wandering around and she would get to stay out of the palace for a little while.

"Great! Follow me!" Eric replied, smiling cheerfully at her before beginning to walk in the directions of his home. He checked over his shoulder to make sure she was following as he led her through the streets. He stopped in front of fairly large manor style house. "My parents uh... made quite a bit of money off their research on plants. Honestly, I hate living in such a large place, it always feels so empty," He explained as he unlocked the door and held it open for her. Once she stepped inside he led her a short way through the house and out another door. This door opened up to a large courtyard full of plants from across the galaxy. There were small pathways and benches placed around it, and in the center there was a small fountain. Eric crossed to the fountain and sat on the edge of it. "So are you gonna tell me your name now?" Thalia smiled as he led her through the city to his home, careful about where she walked and keeping her eyes on him to make sure there was nothing sinister in how this one acted. She was cautious sure but that was mostly because of who she was and she wasn't sure if he noticed her or not for who she was. Either way she followed him though until they reached the manor style home itself and when he explained it being large she had to look down at the clothing she was wearing, remembering she probably looked like a large home was more than one bedroom and not the palace. She smiled and nodded. "Its amazing, i wish i could live in something this size..." She wasn't lying, his reason is the same reason but for the opposite reason. It was so much smaller that she would feel so much less lonely and secluded.

With him leading her to the garden and into the area around the fountain she let the site wash over her as she gave him a genuine smile at what she saw. It was beautiful, not as spectacular as other gardens but it was none the less beautiful and for a moment she said nothing till he spoke again and she forgot she hadn't told him her name. "Uh, im Thalia, good to meet you."
