- + Ace Pilot: Andro has spent his whole life behind the stick of a starfighter, and he is by all means an expert when it comes to piloting and starfighter combat.
- + Enhanced Focus: Thanks to his exceptional training in the Jabiim Defense Force, Andro has a mastery over his emotions while in the cockpit that allows him to fly with deadly focus.
- + Leadership: Andro has won the respect of his fellow pilots in the 19th, and they look up to him as a leader of their Wing.
-
- - Defector: Andro was a political prisoner of the Sith Empire before defecting to the New Imperial Order. Effectively, he has no official ties to his home planet (still under the control of the Sith) which is an emotional hamper for him.
- - Armed Combat: While he is an ace in the cockpit, Andro is not much of a fighter when it comes to other forms of combat, mainly due to the fact that he put minimal effort into developing those abilities. He’s adequate enough should the situation arise, but don’t expect him to be winning any shootouts.

The World of Mud
Jabiim, to the outsider, seems to be a world of mud and little else. But to those who know Jabiim, they know that the Outer Rim world hosts a rich history of intrigue, wealth, and war.
For so long, Jabiim remained independent from intragalactic political affairs; its location in the Outer Rim meant that it was far from the bright core of the galaxy, and its unusually strong sense of independence, as well as a military to back it, kept greedy Core worlds from exploiting it. Yet it still joined the Galactic Republic following the fall of Xim the Despot’s Empire, seeking protection and aid from a crippling pandemic.
That aid never came, though, and when the Galaxy erupted into the civil conflict of the Clone Wars, so did Jabiim. The Nationalist faction, led by Alto Stratus, Andro’s forbearer, orchestrated a coup of Jabiim’s Congress and voted to defect to the Confederacy. The Loyalist faction moved to remain with the Republic, and brutal civil war broke out, the Loyalists barely winning only months before the war’s end.
However, the end of the war brought not peace, but the Empire. The Loyalists, who had supported the democratic Republic, were now traitors in the public’s opinion as they bowed before the Emperor. The Nationalists gained power, and the second Jabiimi Civil War began almost right after the first. The second war lasted up until well after the end of the Galactic Civil War and the establishment of the New Republic, tearing apart Jabiimi culture, its economy, and infrastructure.
Devastated from decades of war, the now-ruling Nationalist faction made peace with the opposing Loyalists and began a centuries-long process of rebuilding, aided at first during the Golden Age of the galaxy, but then hindered by the four-hundred-year-long darkness that followed. It was only after the black veil of the Gulag Plague had been lifted that Jabiim truly began to recover.
And that was the world that Andro Stratus was born into.
The Rookie
Member of the famous and powerful Stratus family, Andro was born third in line to the inheritance of the family’s estate and titles, after his older brother Yun and older sister Synne. While Yun and Synne both entered the realm of governance and politics, Andro instead opted to join Jabiim’s defense force. A minor scandal, Andro did not have the same political aspirations that were so common of a Stratus; instead, he was inspired by the ships that flew to the stars, that soared above the world of mud and rain.
Andro was accepted by the Jabiim Naval Academy and enrolled in its starfighter pilot program, passing all of his flight tests with solid colors. Jabiim’s Defense Force only had access to outdated Z95 Headhunters, but Andro flew the ship as it had just come off the manufacturing floor in its heyday. The young rookie had an obvious talent for it, and he rose quickly through the ranks to Squadron Commander by his early thirties.
Then, the Sith came, and everything fell apart. Andro fought his best, leading valiant naval charges against the Sith, but the power and might of their Imperial Navy easily crushed the Jabiim Defense Force. Andro crashed-landed and was captured, thrown in prison, while the ruling elite of Jabiim -- which included his brother and sister -- were executed for fighting against the Empire.
Andro spent his days in his prison cell, the damp rain of Jabiim soaking through the old stone and duracrete, and for the young fighter pilot, he thought he’d spent the rest of his life in that small cell.
The Prodigal Son
Andro’s fortune changed when the Third Imperial Civil War broke out, as the New Imperial Order began to vie for control of the Sith Empire. Like it had in centuries past, the rebellion of the Imperials sparked rebellion anew on Jabiim as the Nationalist faction rose once again to combat the Sith-adherent Loyalists.
In a daring raid, a group of Nationalists liberated the prison where Andro and many of his fellow pilots were being kept; Andro reunited with the Jabiim Defense Force, but soon it became apparent that this spark of rebellion would not last. Although Jabiim yearned for independence, its position in the galaxy placed it far from the New Imperial Order’s influence and squarely in the hands of the Sith.
It was evident that those who wanted to fight would die in vain on Jabiim, but Andro came up with another way. Those who wanted to fight would leave and join the New Imperial Order to combat the Sith directly, and when freedom reached Jabiim once more, they would be on the front lines of its liberation. And so the 19th Starfighter Wing was born of Jabiim recruits, led by Andro Stratus, to fight the Sith and bring liberation to the worlds ruled by its iron fist.
They would not stop, nor would they rest until their home was liberated. They were the Prodigal Sons who had abandoned Jabiim but would return to see it free once more.
