Strengths & Weaknesses
Ane’irna’s main strength is her dexterity. Her nimbleness and speed allow the girl to quickly dodge attacks in fluid, elegant moves and also pull off many graceful acrobatic maneuvers. This goes well with her chosen lightsaber form, Makashi, as she can maneuver around her opponent and quickly close the distance between her and her combatant when the opportunity presents itself. The teenager practices the form equally in both hands, allowing her to keep fighting if her dominant right hand is wounded. Knowing that fighting is the last option for a Jedi, she can try to defuse a dangerous situation by talking, using the languages she knows. That is either her native Twi’leki or Basic. Of course, words are not always more powerful than lightsabers, so Ane’irna lets her lightsaber talk if things go sour and there is no option to avoid a conflict. The female Twi’lek wouldn’t stand much of a chance blocking a lightsaber attack, so she has to either dodge or parry the blow aside. Her lack of physical strength makes the teenage girl rely on her nimbleness. Since the Twi’lek’s favorite lightsaber form is not very effective at deflecting blaster bolts, she usually has to switch to Shii-Cho if she wants to block an incoming shot. This means she will most likely use the first lightsaber form when fighting against opponents armed with blasters. Another weakness is her naivety, trying to do the right thing even when the consequences of doing so prove harmful.
Appearance & Gear
Being a Twi’lek, Ane’irna’s light green body is completely devoid of hair. Stripes of darker green adorn both of her lekku, two of those stripes cover her cheeks on both sides of her face, under her dark blue eyes. As most Jedi, the girl is in very good health, her body in excellent shape and muscular from all exercises she is doing to keep herself in condition and adhering to strict diet. Ane’irna’s apparel consists of the typical beige Jedi tunic and pants, accompanied by a pair of brown leather boots, a brown hooded cloak and a black leather headgear. The Twi’lek’s curved lightsaber hilt hangs on her white utility belt, along with a comlink.
Ane’irna’s lightsaber hilt makes it easier to control and allowing for more flexibility and precise movements. The hilt's curvature gives the Twi’lek more power when delivering overhand strikes and would change the angle of the attacks by the merest fraction of a degree. The weapon contains a Mephite crystal that gives the blade yellow color.
Personality
Ane’irna is a kind hearted being; always believing that good and love will prevail over evil and hate, which is why she despises the Sith and their Empire for all they care is oppressing the weak and defenseless. The young Twi’lek is a gentle and joyful soul, never giving into hate or anger, though she becomes much more serious if the situation calls for it. Her calm and patient nature goes hand in hand with her beliefs as a Jedi, being at peace with her emotions and never letting them control her or cloud her judgment. The only thing that might get the better of her is the love for her twin sister, Bry’irna, which Ane’irna deeply cares for. The two share a strong bond that sometimes allows one of them to feel what the other feels.
Always willing to raise her lightsaber in defense of those who cannot defend themselves, the Twi’lek is a staunch protector of what the Jedi Order stands for. Viewing the Force as an ally, she does not abuse it, as it’d go against what she believes in, and so she allows it to guide her. In fight, Ane’irna is entirely efficiency oriented, her and her companion’s health being the highest priority. She has a strong sense of honor, even in the midst of battle, and will take prisoners and spare her disarmed and defeated opponents.
Biography
Only a few seconds after Bry’irna’s birth, Ane’irna exited her mother’s womb too, following her twin sister. Their blood was tested for Force sensitivity, a common practice in the galaxy, and both tests came out positive. Seeing the opportunity to give both girls proper education and better future than they’d have had if they decided not to walk the path presented to them, their parents gladly handed the twins over to a Jedi who visited the planet, searching for those gifted with the Force. The twins travelled to the same Jedi Temple and became inseparable. They grew up together in the same clan of younglings, they studied together, and they performed given tasks together. This obviously raised some concern among their teachers, as attachments were dangerous, but the Twi’lek duo seemed to grasp the Jedi beliefs well and they made an effective team, so no action was taken. The two girls continued in their studies and training, learning the few basic Force powers all Padawans learn, and Ane’irna eventually picked Makashi as her preferred lightsaber style, with Bry’irna studying Soresu so the two complemented to each other’s form.
To help the Republic’s effort to defeat the corrupt Sith Empire, both Ane’irna and Bry’irna were relocated to another Jedi Temple, closer to the borders with the enemy. Before joining the fight, the two had to get real lightsabers though, so the twins travelled to Illum in order to get lightsaber crystals and construct the ancient symbol of the Jedi Order. The ice world gave the twins what they wanted, and after a few weeks of constructing their tools together, Ane’irna finally turned on her new lightsaber, a real weapon. It emitted a yellow plasma beam, while her sister’s lightsaber produced two purple blades. Happy with their success, though mindful not to be too proud of their accomplishment, the two Jedi Padawans continued their studies; attending lessons and practicing lightsaber combat together.
