- Built in Echani Personal Energy Shield, made to withstand Sonic attacks on an extreme level with careful precision. Can be remotely activated or on sound signature of a sonic weapon going off.

- Sonic Huh? What Of It?: Sonic weaponry has no effect and the shield almost never falters on being stuck by such an energy source. This makes it extremely difficult to break through if using only sonic weaponry, something that Angelus learned from Haons fate.
- Extremely Light and Stylish: It is made from Rontu Hide, making it very durable against blaster bolts and being smashed from a person wishing to insult him, the hat is rather expensive to make.
- It Still is a Hat: Anyone could reach over and take off the hat, maybe with some accuracy shoot it off of his head if the shield generator function is off. A lightsaber would cleave through it like butter.
- Only Works on the Head: Just holding the hat will not activate the shield generator function, it must be worn on the head. If not, it will never activate if one was to scramble to pick it back up.
The idea of fitting a personal shield generator into a helmet has been talked on but never really someones hat. Angelus decided after reviewing some data on Haons demise, that perhaps a hat that could be more defensive against that kind of nature would be wise to implement. Taking a rather old Echani Personal Shield Generator, he would take the components and recreate them into smaller sections, outlaying them all across the hat and have it trigger from audio response or simple RFID signature, aka his own mental process to turning it on. The hat was made within a few days, with new treated leather and was just perfect for someone in the Hafey line of HRUs.
