Anguis Dux is a former member of the Galactic Alliance Defence Force. He served within a clandestine special forces unit. After he was believed dead and abandoned behind enemy lines during an operation gone south, he went rogue and used his know-how to create the galactic terrorist group Viper Group. He has no loyalty to a flag or nation or any set of ideals, only to credits and power. His paramilitary is currently assisting the Dark Empire under contract though Dux may have greater ambitions.

HISTORY
Anguis Dux was born an orphan in the cities of Coruscant, where he quickly learned in that brutal environment that the only things that counted were credits and power. Growing up frail Dux should have died young but he developed a vicious cunning and cruelty to compensate. He kept his head down and served the older children as a servant. In that role, he was constantly humiliated and beaten. Instead of growing an empathy for the weak, he came to despise them.
As a servant, he watched his masters carefully. He learned what their strengths were as well as their weaknesses. Dux rallied the other weak children and, in a single night, murdered his oppressors in their sleep. But not content to share the throne, he purged those who had helped him rise to power. However, his tenure didn't last long as a group of gangsters from Tatooine soon moved into his turf and kicked him out. Dux learned another valuable lesson that day; there were always bigger fish.
When Dux came of age, he enlisted in the GADF, the armed forces of the Galactic Alliance. His shrewd nature and blank past made him ideal for Black Ops. During his training, he showed an aptitude for quick learning, marksmanship, engineering, and technology but a psych-eval turned up sociopathic tendencies. This report would have seen him booted from induction if not for the doctor who had interviewed him having an unfortunate and fatal speeder accident heading home from work.
Dux would go on to serve for a decade in dozens of operations for the Galactic Alliance. However, he became frustrated when his multiple attempts to rise through the ranks were blocked. Others had seen through his facade and knew him for the greedy, power-hungry individual he truly was. When the time came during an operation behind enemy lines going south, Dux and a number of his comrades faked their deaths. They would go on to found the terrorist group Viper's Group, drawing in disenfranchised soldiers from all over the Galaxy to lend their expertise and muscle in hopes of gaining power and wealth. Just like Dux himself, the Vipers have no loyalty to any government and flag but themselves and the Supreme Commander.
With the rise of the Dark Empire, Dux has ingrained Viper Group as an elite paramilitary serving the Emperor's armed forces so long as the credits keep coming. Under the Empire, they are known as the Combat Operations Battlefield Reconnaissance Analysis/Attack Group or simply as COBRA Group.

PERSONALITY
Dux is a ruthless, egotistical, and sadistic maniac lacking any empathy for others, seeing allies as disposable tools and enemies to be exterminated. His one and only goal has always been to dominate others, even if it means throwing his "friends" under the bus. He has no morality and will do whatever it takes to take what he thinks he deserves. He is also immensely egotistical, believing that he is inherently superior to everyone around him. He is cunning enough to hide his belief when it is convenient to him
STRENGTHS & WEAKNESSES
Dux is a graduate of the GADF's Spec Ops school, meaning that he is well-trained in sabotage and subterfuge. He is adept in the ways of science and technology being able to create weapons and gadgets for Viper Group or to sell on the Black Market. In combat, he is no slouch with a blaster pistol and ruthless with a knife though he prefers to avoid confrontation if he can.
However, at his core, Dux is insane and cowardly. He will use others as meat shields and turn & run when the battle seems to slip from his grasp. His egotistical nature can often blind him. When things don't go his way he often devolves into rage-fueled nightmarish tantrums at his subordinates which often sees him outright blaming them for his failures before executing them.
