Darth Themis
The Best of Frenemies
Intent: To Create Semi-Unique Kyber Crystals
Allows Non Jedi Light Adepts to channel the Force More Easily
Produces a blade that is excellent for deflecting Blaster Bolts
Will not short out when exposed to Cortosis
Blades using these Kybers are much more difficult than normal to short out with Synth Crystal Lightsaber blades
STRENGTHS
Channeler: Wielding a blade with this Crystal in it allows a Light Side Force Adept to channel the Force much more easily than normal, particularly with Light Side powers
Deflector: Lightsabers using these crystals have "wider", "thicker" blades, enabling them to catch blaster bolts much more easily
Resistant: Lightsabers using these Crystals are much tougher to break than normal when put up against Lightsabers powered by Synthetic Crystals, and the blades will not short out being exposed to Cortosis
WEAKNESSES
A very particular Light Adept: Due to the nature of the Planet they were recovered from, the Kybers do not empower any Light Adept that follows the Jedi Way
Force Voids: Will not function in Force Voids
Offensive Stunted: Reduces the strength of offensive Telekinesis by half
DESCRIPTION
Ankhanos Kybers are found on Ankhanos, the Light Sith's equivalent of Korriban and Ilum. Boasting natural channeling and defensive properties, the Crystals call to the Light adept in question, Warriors often walk away with Orange Crystals, Assassin types with the rarer Cyan and Mage types often carry Purple crystals. Why the refuse to empower Jedi is unknown, and theorized the ancient founders of the planet performed a ritual of great power over the entire world of Ankhanos in an attempt to prevent Jedi from gaining all the benefits of these crystals. Whether this is true or not has never been proven, but the fact that any Jedi that's gotten their hands on one has found it massively difficult to attune to themselves seems to lend credence to the theory.
