Description: During a discussion with Coci Heavenshield that would eventually lead to a contract between the Silver Sanctum Coalition and Ceredir Industries, suggestions were made in regards to the Annonîn device. Specifically, the removal of the logo and the addition of an explosive that could 'eliminate the device itself and thus it's origin but also...remove it from possibly falling into the hands of those to come behind'.
With those - and some other - ideas in mind, Audren returned to the drawing board. Removing the logo was simplicity - he actually had less of an expense without it. He realized that it would be simpler to merely have a device that snapped onto the wire and did the cutting itself rather than the user having to cut and feed. He was forced to reorganize the internal electronics to accommodate the ability to open as well as the addition of a blade near the center, but that was just a matter of playing with how items fit. A hinge was added, allowing the device to open fully then snap back shut; when the power is on, small electromagnets ensure it stays shut.
The difficult addition was the explosives. With little room remaining after the shuffle, the Sephi was forced to expand portions of the ends to allow enough room for the explosives. Small Alpha Charges were chosen specifically for their lack of noise and smoke, and one placed on each end. Activation would result in the annihilation of the device and the wire contained within, leaving ash and tiny fragments of metal the only remnants.
Besides the new additions, the device functions exactly the same as the original, ensuring that those trained with the original can seamlessly shift to the new version without difficulty.
