- Over the centuries, both tips have been submitted to polishing by the svolten methods of the Sith, giving the staff a deadly unparalleled edge.
- Enhances the user's mental abilities with performing telepathic tricks as it enhances its grip over the power of raw nature of the Force.
- Carved with runes and imbued with the profound depths which enclose the Primal Darkness. As a myriad of names is given to the Force, be it Mist, Ichor, Veil, or whatever monickers the elder races of this galaxy have given, nonetheless, the Nordûr in the height of its creation was imbued with the fell powers that surrounded Salmar in its days, only to be empowered with the ancient spells of her kind and then Nightsister's enchanting which she claims mastery over it.
- Spell of Assistance - A magical enchantment that allows it to use its properties by focusing its powers on healing others, or herself.
- Spell of Protection - A magical enchantment for protection by creating a bubble of energy around the wearer of translucent mist made of the sheer energy of the Veil. The shield blocked both energy and physical matter.
- Mindspeech - A magical enchantment that allows the caster to project her image and voice into the head of another person much as a holographic figure would. This power cannot be used against those that were never seen by the user, it must be used on those better acquainted with the caster.
- Of Many Colors - This staff can be used as a channeling tool for performing magic of almost any kind, as long as the user's dominance over the knowledge necessary to do it so are found within their own capacities of performing the act.
- Of Frozen Might - Notable for two curious features. The staff is capable of both absorbing oxygen particles in the air around them and directing the heat of other sentient beings in the same fashion of cryokinesis, allowing this weapon to focus these particles to itself so that they can be focused by its user to manipulate these same absorbed particles and condense them in the field of manipulation of the ice element. Such use is maintained with limitations, such as firing lashes of an icelike beam in the same manner as a cryo gun would, by creating up to four ice spears to be thrown by the user, balls of icelike substances with the potential to freeze organic mass easily. The weapon itself is more than capable of lowering the temperature within a small environment, making it colder and more difficult to breathe for both victim and user.
- Of Blazing Strength - Its other most curious feature. The Darkmoon calls upon the particles all around him, channeling them to its extension by manipulating them and granting its user the ability to easily call upon dominion over the forces of nature such as in the mastering of wielding the power of pyrokinesis, by creating lashes of fiery flames, hot enough to melt over durasteel or tossing destructive fireballs. There is little this staff doesn't allow its user to do within its control over the element.
- A Wizard's Wand - The power of this staff is unique and was highly sought in the past not only for its other feature but due to allowing its wielder to manifest its grip over the powers of lightning. By enhancing it, the wielder can materialize the thunderous force much easily such as performing many of its variants at ease.
- The Song of Resistance - Due to its composition being made of songsteel, this staff is highly resistant against many sorts of weaponry. Capable of sparring with a lightsaber quite easily without the fear of being cut in half after each strike, and due to its connection with the Force, the staff can absorb all elemental damage, such as fire or lightning that are tossed against him. Using this energy to fuel its existence.
- The Voice of the One - By using one of the darkest spells of Sith Magic by its creator, allowing the wielder to launch a powerful grip on the forces of telekinesis for faster and less concentrated actions. As well as serving to increase the wearer's mental power, defending him from mental attacks and allowing minds to be easily persuaded to agree with their willpower, and if applied with greater will from its wielder, the staff can try by the desire of the user to enslave the minds of others to its will with few exceptions. However, the staff cannot control the minds of those with stronger willpower or bearers of pure hearts those compared to its wielder and as a last resort in those cases in a vengeful attempt, he can try launching a terrible headache over its targets. The staff also has failed to enslave the minds of mentally resistant species such as Hutts or Epichantix, reasons remaining unknown.
- The Unholy Shard - The pale gem in this staff's tip is more than merely an aesthetic improvement, as it was corrupted by the foulest sorcery in existence within the galaxy under the behest of the Witch-Queen of Carnadine, Lunafreya van Solidor, it's shining and pure dim light of grace have been replaced by a putrid, wretched stench best fit to necromancy. According to legend, Salmar the Great Magician, gave his life so that his staff could become one with himself, as he grew old and fearful of passing his power on and leaving his legacy forgotten on a shelf somewhere by his peers, Salmar joined as one with the gem and planted his soul in the very existence of the staff. That way, Salmar could yet dream of keep his own existence away from the chaotic pits that awaited him, as he would also test those who would come seeking his booms, and force them to pass through a series of trials to decide if they have what it takes to wield his legacy and granting them with the staff's light. Where its gem shines brightly with a pale light, blinding enemies and emitting small corrosion damage to all those who look upon it directly.
- To Summon from ashes - If united with other items such as the Rings of Baranor, this item can be bonded with the powers of those rings and dispatched much like items of myth and legend from the past to the Spirit Ichor. Allowing it to be summoned and called from the Ichor much like the great shamans of yore did with clouds of smoke and fear when chanting its incantation properly.
WEAKNESSES
- The Light in Darkness - As any item made from sith arts, the Nordûr suffers in its ability to resist the Light Side. While it can work its magic against a light side user, some other issues can appear when facing light side empowered abilities, such as force light, that could destroy the artifact entirely.
- A lie - The staff's abilities cannot work in the coldness of space due to the lack of both oxygen and energy to generate energy, heat, or frost.
- Not a Master - The promise that this staff will give immense powers over nature is nothing more than a lie, he is but a simple tool and any real control over its special skills is controlled by its user description.
- Force Negation - As with most sith weaponry or force imbued weapon, any contact with any kind of Voidstone, Voidsteel, or nullification bubble such as the ysalamir can dampen, or temporarily remove the capabilities of the weapon. While the Beskar can still retain its durability, the ‘special’ skills which the weapon is famous for are all but nullified.
- Treacherous - The staff can be used by anyone that has him in its grasp if they channel their will over him.
- Deadly for the user - This staff needs constant recharging, or else it will dry out the user's own connection with the Force without any restrain, possibly even resulting in death.
- H2O Issues - The staff cannot use its abilities to drain the oxygen from close quarters with enough prowess to make a room to be out of it.
- PC/NPC - This staff doesn't work on players or NPC controlled by players unless they allow it to control their actions.
- Energy Issues - Its domain over the forces of lightning are extensive, but cannot endure performing force storm through its stone without the risk of cracking and breaking.
DESCRIPTION
Originally called Anordûr the Moonwand, in her utmost arrogance Lunafreya renamed the item when it came to her possession as Ainz Nordûr Gown, translated from the High Elzaar as the "Master Wand of Egotism". Hidden by the Sith Empire alongside many other things in the Center for Progress, the Nordûr was one of the objects taken by Prince Daedalos Solidor during the Imperial Invasion on the planet. Done at the request of his infamous sister, Daedalos brought back everything that was confiscated during the invasion into the clutches of Lunafreya, in order for her to decide what to do with each item. Deciding to keep it all in her possession, Lunafreya, who secretly refused to comply with the Sith purge at Bastion, decided to keep the staff for herself.
The staff needed to have Lunafreya's willpower focused on him so that she could learn about her past before handling the item, merging the facts with the notes found in the same box in which the object had been transported. It was discovered to her that hundreds of years ago a powerful wizard named Salmar had coveted an exemplary place in the court of his Sith allies. In search of approvals and exaltation about his evident power, Salmar forged a staff of immense power, one destined to elevate his position in court to become the greatest magician of his time.
After crushing his competitors and proving his distinct strength over the minds of others, Salmar has become such a threat to the empire that it is assumed that they were the cause of his mysterious death. The item was found with many others by the Sith and kept secret until someone with enough willpower could claim the staff for themselves. Through the use of her nigh-absolute willpower, Lunafreya bent the spirit of its creator to her will, turning this tool into nothing more but an object to perform her whims.
