Or, y'know, show up and fight. Far as I know, both sides are aware and such.

Can't sit in gilded towers meditating on galactic peace in the middle of a galaxy full of upheaval while living next door to a faction of raiders, mercenaries, bounty hunters, and warriors. GR was the West Roman Empire. I'd hazard a guess that SJO is the East Roman Empire at this point. May be best not to make the same mistakes.

I'll wait for formal approval - but for once I plan to participate. If Mandos want to write stories about raiding and raiding is what Mandos do best, it seems a little harsh to deny them the opportunity to do so.

I accept that such threads would ideally be run past the Admin team before the thread goes live, but as I understand it the rules don't prohibit these threads. Maybe manners do, but not any rules.

So for once, I have a character that has a vested interest in participating. Sorel was a Padawan on Ossus when the Republic Jedi were there (based on her back-story) and she often trains Padawans there, so it's a place she'd logically be and would be keen to protect.

Plus (again based on back-story) she rates the Mandos as level on the evil-ness scale with the Sith, given they attacked the Republic Jedi on more than one occasion.

So count me in as soon as we get the green light (or at least don't get a red one).

[member="Sorel Crieff"] is right. There's nothing we can do to stop these threads from popping up, it comes with the territory of being a major faction. I do wish they would have the courtesy of contacting us admins before posting their raid, and to be fair these guys did - a couple hours before posting, which really isn't enough time for us to respond.

I, for one, will be taking part in this one. They think us easy targets, so let's show them we're not and send them home empty-handed.

We do not see ourselves as Empire, that is a view others hold. We see ourselves differently, as peacekeepers, that is what the Mando are assaulting (constantly). And why? Our response to that question was simply that that is what Mandos do. So be it.


We will fight and I will be joining this one. So consider this and [member="Thurion Heavenshield"]'s involvement the green light for those that require a green light.

I shall post later as I am unwell at the moment and trying to get better for work tomorrow.

I just wish you guys could have waited a day or two. Got a new battle droid being reviewed that I was itching to test out in a raid. Would have been one of the best environments to employ these guys in as well. Still if you must raid I guess we have no choice but to open up with the force powers and assorted anti-armour weapons.

hmmm well they are getting recalled and given the track record of the raids being used for trolling purposes I doubt we'll face more then another godmod storm but hell. I got to have some fun with Willa and if Coci and Thurion is there should be very fun.

Though common sense says this is a trap to give the clans an excuse to try and invade in January. Since "you attacked mandalroians" could be reason and "it is just what we do lol" is less of a reason. We already know from past experience they are less about actual story then just wanting to pound their chest and say they are awesome. Even defending from mandalorians seems like something they would grasp to try and have cause.

paranoid sure but this is chaos where generally dumb logic and reasoning wins out over story.

[member="Matsu Ike"] Given what we know, I'm assuming the Mandalorians are coming no matter what we do. It's best to respond by fulfilling our duties as Jedi, protecting the planets and people under our watch. Otherwise, what is the point of calling ourselves Jedi? Trying to make concessions or ignoring the issue will only entice more people to try their hand at raiding Silver Space. A show of force is what works best in these situations.

Also, by engaging with the Mandalorian writers, that would do much to alleviate some tension on both sides by acknowledging them. Just try to have fun, and if there are issues with people godmodding or whatever, then either write around it, or reach out to the opposing writer.

​I'm currently on semi-loa, but I'll be dropping into this thread today to protect our stuff. I'm not going to have much issue with Mando FU countermeasures, but I'd urge all Jedi characters to go into the fight with more than their lightsaber. Don't gimp yourselves.
