Another Option

It had been a whole as the young Initiate called Sayuri had joined the temple. Her grades were awfully low and so was her progression. It was easily seen every single day within the classes that they had gone through, that Sayuri rather wanted to play instead of sitting in a classroom with people nearly three times her age. She played and spoke to people, distracting them from their work. Every single day, she came in walking at a different time, but even if it happened, she never wanted to make anyone angry. She basically gave a light sparkle into the class to keep everyone sometimes happy.

The masters knew though that some different managements had to be done, keeping her with people of a higher age category, who were mentally far more developed than she was. It was not exactly a responsible way to teach her. She needed a class with children her age or she had to get a master of her own. This was actually done, she had been given a knight to look over her and teach her the way of the jedi. The way of the force, if her master was ready for the child? That was something to be found out.

Early within the morning Sayuri got awake this time. She was hungry as if the force had just woke her up for the purpose of meeting her master. She was walking to the cafeteria where she most of the time had long chats with completely no goal! The people liked it and knew that she needed people to talk too even if it was for a comforting hug. This time the moment she entered, she saw walks towards the fridge and her food was made in the shape of her bunny.

She knew it was her food! She grabbed it and walked towards a table. This time a woman sat over there. It was one of her classmates from before, A woman, a jedi knight. Sayuri was unknown of the knowledge that she was a knight. She sat at the table and smiled to the woman. She placed down her Bunny in a sitting position facing the woman. "Hai there, miss! I saw you in class, why you up so early? Are you also here to eat~ Bunny and I would like to share~" She said very adorable, smiling kindly.

Matsu had been surprised when she faced the trials again, a second set in her lifetime and she stood there in the room while she secured her outfit. Not the traditional jedi robes or her jedi style kimono, no she had been working lately with the more form fitted shell spider silk cloths over a thin layer of robe skin over her. The fibers packed tightly and while providing no healing the second skin was a living thing able to help with healing parts of her body.

Then there was the shell spider silks and hardened leather boots with durasteel in the toes and heels, fitted custom for her feet and the clothing built so she could have a degree of protection with her civilian clothing, a glistaweb trench coat over her gunbelt filled with equipment and holding her saber blades. The twin z shaped blades and her silver hilted saber, the second saber with its imperial knights design and logo there while she secured the black hat.

Then she was moving and the curtain of black hair was over her shoulders while she walked hands going into her pockets down the hallways. She was movign to meet her first padawan since she was severed from the force and she wanted to impress the girl as it stood. Leave her with a good impression while she entered the room and saw a small child with a teddy and spoke softly. "Hello Sayuri." Matsu raised an eyebrow for her padawan and smiled. This is where the fun begins.

Sayuri did not yet know that she would meet her master this early and actually in some sort of way, unannounced. She did not care, if it was either announced or not, but it all was about the experience that had yet to come. She had looked impressed at her master. It was not that hard to impress Sayuri. She kept her spoon on the table with her mouth left wide open, not yet having taken a bite of her food. She asked a moment later as she shook her head, "How do you know my name?~ Did you look ask Bunny? He sometimes tells people my name without letting me know." She spoke with an adorable voice, while she spoke her eyes were glittering.

Matsu entered and looked at the table as she starred down at her and smiled. "You'll find padawan, that jedi can learn and know all sorts of things. I learned many skills and I am going to teach them to you." She had the look on her face while she looked around the room. "Come and walk, make sure you have your things." Matsu offered a playful look and moved quickly while she focused her ears and thoughts on her. She went to the door and kept one hand in her pocket while the other was out and extended.
"Come along padawan."

Sayuri was already having a great time, chatting with someone was for her own experience a load of fun! She looked at her master with her head slightly moving to the right side, "Padawan?~" She asked adorable as she had no idea, what this game was all about. She liked it though, she heard that she would be learning a load of things of her master. "Ooh! Are you maybe my teacher?~ Sorry, I am not in time at class~" She asked as she continued to speak, " Ooh, okay!" She said kindly a smile and her look kept on being playful. She liked the woman a lot. She seemed very kind and would love a game?

After hearing that she had to come with her and take a walk, quickly she ate her food, making her whole mouth full before swallowing it. She grabbed her teddy bunny with her left hand before standing up and smiling, she held her teddy against her chest before grabbing the hand of her master Matsu and making her have the lead.

Matsu looked at her stuff her face and she was very much like the jedi daughters granting some difference for age and experience. Reiko and Orihime were raised in the jedi and knew from a very young age what they could do and what they were expected to do. Wrapping her hand around the girls as she began walking Matsu spoke moving her other hand to show where to look and points of interest.

"This is the temple of Voss, a place we keep secret lest the unsavory sorts find out. There is a river and pond for training and there is more in the mountain." She continued to walk and stopped only to get some equipment in one of the packs she had grabbed, her research notes and information, some of her weapons and training gear the padawan could wear. She might not be ready for combat but she could learn. "I do hope you are ready for a fun time."

Sayuri grabbed a hold onto Matsu her hands and followed her to the points of interest. Her hand was used to pinpoint, when the attention of the young girl was needed. She suddenly heard the woman her soft soothing voice, as she was explaining to Sayuri about the place, "This planet is called Voss~ Hehehe, the planet and the academy have the same name~" She said as she allowed the woman the continue to speak on, "Uhm, are there pretty fishes and animals around here?" She asked as she smiled and her eyes were shining. She would've loved if pretty friendly creatures would live at Voss, which she could pet and maybe keep as pet. "Yes, yes, of course I am, let's have fun!! Let's go play lots of games~" She couldn't be more excited than this, she finally had a friend to play with

Matsu looked at her and pretty fish were around, some were in the river and swam upstream as they made their way home. "There is and we can search for them but first we need to teach you how to best handle the situation. We grow, we evolve, we learn as needed and push for things to become better. I will teach you how to be calm and patient with the force before we move on and tart really exploring the world. Now what can you tell me about yourself Sayuri?"

Sayuri had to tell about herself and was sure to do about that a whole lot of fun was coming after that. Her eyes shining towards her master, while she heard the things she will learn, but some of the things all seem very dense in answer. She had no idea what her master would be teaching her along the way except for being calm and patient in the force. Now it was the turn to speak and so she did. She spoke while they were walking, her voice was adorable and playful like expected, "My name is Sayuri, I am eight and I am a girl~ I really love my Teddy bunny~ His hugs are very soft and he loves tea. We always drink some tea together when it is cold outside. Uhm, I like it very much here and I am happy you are my teacher~" She said smiling while holding her teddy close to her chest.

Matsu listened to her padawan and gave a nod of her head to that, it was what she expected more or less. Not much but an eight year old could hardly have a life story. She had met few other jedi who had done so much so young... The padawan who helped fight the Rexes didn't count because a ten year old doesn't understand the pressures of being a jedi knight. They don't have the grace to understand what is happening, same for one of their youngest masters.

Matsu had observed Saki was experienced but not wise, she knew what she wanted to be but had to try and find a way to get there. Now Matsu had a young and impressionable padawan she was set to mold and teach, whom she didn't want to fail. No pressure. "Well our teddy bunny sounds wonderful, we shall see how well he does with you. I am Matsu, I was raised in the former Imperial knights and in the temple on Rhen Var before I came to be part of the jedi."

She listened to the woman after having done her own introduction, she kept her teddy bear close while they were speaking. She asked "Where is Rhen Var?" She asked adorable her head shifting a bit to the right. Her hair getting into her face as she looked over towards her master, "Uhm, Master Matsu?" She whispered for once hearing a lot of times about the master part, so she basically imitated as her age was only normal to imitate. "Nice to meet you~" She said after that instead of giving a hand, she went for a hug. "I hope we will become best best friends~"

"Rhen Var is an icy world, my adoptive mother took me there when I was a baby and raised me in the jedi ways... with her father. There was many things you can learn in the icy and cold." Her smile remained though and while she was looking at the girl the thought of being best friends was welcomed ot her before she was speaking. "That is good then, you have some warm close correct."

The young Sayuri heard about the Icy world called Rhen Var. The thoughts of being in a very cold planet made her already shival of the cold as if she got a brainfreeze. "Wasn't it hard to be in the cold? Did you like a warm coco all day?" She meant with coco, chocolate milk. She answered Matsu at the end, "Mhm~ If you have friends you always have it warm", The young girl said for the first time sounding a bit wise in a cute way.

Matsu thought about it and she couldn't remember a day she had actually been given coco... It wasn't a bad place but the master was strict and he trained her first to be a warrior and second to be a person. Only what she needed to live and survive. Not the best upbringing for someone but she learned quickly the truth of her family and herself.. It was why she was dangerous and why as she spoke she offered a smile. "No it is a cold world but I was taught to be colder then the snow, to survive and be able to do as needed. As for you well we are here on Voss... it is hotter and more humid."

Sayuri didn't like the cold that much. She didn't want to either and hoped she would never have to go there, "I hope we don't go to such a cold planet~" She said hugging her teddy bunny once again, "It already makes me cold thinking about it, giggling kindly at the end, "Where are we heading to again, Miss Master Matsu?"

Matsu was walking to the Harlequin as the ship came into view and she stood there with a smirk on her face. "To Rhen Var." It was a strange thing because she was so used to others remembering everything. A small smile on her face while she went up the ramp going into the ship. "Hurry there are quarters set up for you and we will be off."

She was having such a great time with her mother/sister figure. She kept on walking towards the beautiful ship. Her eyes widened as she said with an amazed voice, "Wow, that ship is so big!" She had told to her master, while hearing a direct answer of her question, "Rhen Var..but...but...Master, it is very cold out there, Bunny and I will freeze there. You are super strong" She had answered slightly nervous. She followed her master in the ship even if she wanted it or not and would go into the ship.

Matsu looked at the girl as she got in the ship and spoke. "That is why we have warm clothing and as a jedi you will need to learn how to overcome the uncomfortable, overcome fear and most of all the cold with the force. I will teach you when we are on the planet how to use Tapas to warm your body and make it all worthwhile." Matsu held a grin on her face while the crew within the Harlequin moved around going to their rooms and stations. The quarters of the ship itself handled well enough. "Your room is here on the primary deck, I am a level above."

She had entered the ship called the Harlequin. The young girl looked around while her master spoke to her, "Phew~" She said giggling after, hugging her own teddy bear once again. She smiled kindly towards Matsu holding her hand as she asked, "Primary? What is Primary?" She had asked awaiting for the question to mostlikely be answered and then the might already be leaving.

"The main deck." It was strange but much like her own children... matsu knew how to handle this and had a small smile on her face as she moved about. "The main level of the ship where the crew and you have quarters, as well as the galley for food and the training rooms." She started walking the length of the ship and looking in on everything she could touring it before stopping at the room. "This is yours, make sure all your stuff is put away."
