((Anything Goes as long as you don't kill him.))

Quil Narro decided to finally visit his family again, it had been at least a year since he had left Alderaan to find out more about the force, he had learned only a bit from his master before she had left. The seventeen year old walked into his small home in a secluded forest, walking into the dining area he would notice his family eating dinner. His father looked up and smiled brightly.

"Quil! You're back." The man said, as soon as he did, Quil's brother shot up and hugged him.

"Yes, I came to collect some of my clothes." He said without tone.

His family looked confused. Quil smiled softly.

"Where are you going Q?" His mother would ask.

"After a year of no word you finally come back...then you leave." His father said with his voice raising.

Quil tussled his brother's hair before looking up to his dad. He had always loved his dad, but his father had always conflicted with him, he thought that Quil had been going through a phase when he told him he was a pacifist. The teen sighed before responding.

"I need more answers father...dad...I need to leave again, I don't know for how long but I have to." The teen said as he walked to his room and opened his drawers, slowly pulling out his clothes.

Soon his mother was at his doorway.

"You know he only wants to know what's wrong." She said with a smile. Quil continued to put the clothes in his bag.

"Mom, I know, but I have to learn on my own. You guys won't always be there for me." Quil would say as he picked up the bag and kissed her on her forehead. He then walked out of his room, then out of his house.

The teen had walked off into the forest, the sun would be high above his head as he reached the river that he'd always gone to.

The pacifist grabbed a rock and skipped it across the water.

"What am I to do?...Master is gone...the galaxy is still in pieces, the One Sith and Republic have fallen, bother trying to bring order and peace...both failed because of war." Quil sighed as he dropped his bag by a tree.

He looked up to the sky and watched the clouds.

There were always people to hunt down. Always a Jedi to find and bring to their knees. My lord, My saviour, My Master had commanded me to find Jedi. Find them and eradicate them, or to bring them into our fold. Find their weakness and exploit it. To do that, I must use my own weaknesses as strengths. However, I couldn't find a single person. I couldn't find one Jedi on Alderaan thus far. As what it might seem, It was not easy as I could believe to find force users. Let alone Jedi. Staring through a window, I sat inside a room in some families house. No clue on who they were. However, the room I was in was vacant. Left alone and untouched. Dust had collected on the dresser.

A young man lived in here at one point. Maybe he had passed. Is that why the family seemed so... cold. Distant? Yes. Yes it was. They had lost their son at some point. Removing my blade from its sheath, I was moving out into the hall when I could hear someone enter the house. Eye's widening, I sheathed the weapon with absolute silence. Moving back into the room, I then slid towards the closet. Closing the door slowly as the boy's room door opened.

"You know he only wants to know what's wrong."
"Mom, I know, but I have to learn on my own. You guys won't always be there for me."

The dresser was opened as the mother was trying to reason with her son. I could feel the force within this young man. Soft, and delicate. Like a flower. I smiled deeply as I found my mark. I had hidden my presence within the force. Luckily this child hadn't discovered me. I could hear the door open and close to leave. The foot falls staying silent. Followed by the sound of weeping. The mother wanted to help her son. But didn't know how.

Moving slowly out of the closet, I could see the mother was in the other room. The door was open. Thus, I walked over to the window, and made my way out. Closing it back up, feet moving fast to catch up to this young man. I needed him. Force him to fold, or kill him. The choice was mine, and mine alone. As I could follow this young man into the forest, he was skipping rocks. It was a wonder for him to do it.

Watching from a distance, I could see the man's technique. Well formed, and he got a few each time. Walking out from the trees, I could see him looking up to the sky. My voice crossing the distance with but a whisper for him to hear. As though I were some voice within his mind, and heart.

"Answers can only be solved by your own rite."

The clouds were all different, never two that were the same. It was almost like people. All different never two really believing in the same things. Moving his head back down towards the river he would pick up another stone. Tossing it in his hand, he would think back to the clouds. 'maybe that's why there is never peace.' he would think to himself as he flew the rock across the water it didn't skip across. Quil sighed. He had always been conflicted, he had hoped the Jedi would help...and she did. Then she left.

Soon Quil would hear something, he couldn't put a finger on what it was, it could've been a whisper, but at the same time he felt as if it could've been something he would think up, something his heart would say, he shook his head before turning around to where his bag was.

A woman would stand there, one he had never seen before. Granted he had not been to Alderaan for at least a year. Her eyes were red and she had various markings on her arms.

He took a breath before opening his mouth to speak. "People aren't meant to do things alone." He would say simply as he gave a half smile. He then turned back to the river before picking up another rock to skip it.

"So...why are you at this river... admirer of the flowing water?" He would as as he skipped the rock perfectly across the river.

Shaking my head.

"No."

A very simple answer to his question. Moving forward. I stood beside the young man. His height barely stood over my own. Picking up a rock much like he was doing, I tossed the stone. Off from my side in the same pattern he was doing to replicate the skip. Spooshing down into the water after the third skip, I looked up towards the man's height.

"The river flows on it's own. Fighting it is a fool's errand."

Turning away from him, I removed a lightsaber from my belt. Bringing it around for him to see. I was much like him. Looking for answers. Wanting to find my own purpose as much as he. Yet, I knew where to look. He did not.

"However, we few, can fight the river. We know the strength required. It's the choice to fight it with as much as you can, or fall away by the surf."

Leaning forward, I looked to him. Bringing myself close to him. Close enough I could smell the paste he used to brush his teeth. Close enough I could feel his clothing against mine. Intimate close.

"I can show you how. I know the way to answers many seek. You must trust me."

I took a step back. Slowly extending my hand. Open and inviting to hold it. To let me in.

The woman next to him picked up a rock and skipped it across the river. The teen listened as the woman next to him spoke. She turned away for a second only to bring back around a lightsaber. He stiffened at the sight, but he remained calm as she continued to talk about fighting the river.

"Fight or fall..." Quil said softly as he looked to the water. He then picked up another rock and skipped it, it skipped twice then on the third plopped down.

"But much like the rock we can exploit another way, so we don't have to fight or fall." He said as the woman got extremely close to him, her clothes touched his, close enough to hear her breathe. She said that she could show him answers, that he could trust her. He looked into her red eyes, then quickly turned his head the other way and looked at the river.

"Why should I trust you when I don't even know what you believe," she backed away before extending her hand. Quil just looked at it.

"Who are you?" The seventeen year old asked softly. He wasn't against what she was saying, but he didn't know. He was tempted to take her hand and learn...but he was sceptical.

He continued to stare at her hand before looking back to the water.

Continuing to hold the hand out, I could feel the doubt. His voice echoed it, and confirmed it. He had no idea. The boy was right. There were other ways to move across. And here is where it got interesting.

"A rock only moves so far. Very little strength is required to skip a rock. it's not prepared for resistance when it hits the water, and thus comes to a stop. Each view upon the river is much like the force. A different view point."

A rock rose from the ground. Hovering in the air. Smooth, and uniform. Almost streamlined. As though it were made specifically for the use of skipping. Yet the second rock to rise up, was jagged and broken. Pieces could easily fall off by dropping it. Both were held in front of him.

"The smooth stone has become this way by the current of the river. Smoothing it over. Refining it's once jagged, and broken shell. Becoming stronger than the water. Able to resist it's relentless pushing. The other is broken. Raw. Unrefined. It has no purpose to you or I for the skipping of stones. It may try, but will fail to produce results."

Taking a grip of the smooth stone in my open hand, I then tossed it. letting the stone skip five times before falling into the murky waters.

"To find your answers, you must pass tests of hardship and strife. As with all life, to get anywhere, you must have failed at least once."

Opening my hand once more, I reached out with my hand. Tempting him further to follow me.

Quil let the woman speak, she talked about how the river was like the force, different ways to get across, different views. He watched as a smooth rock rose, it was a perfect rock, one changed and warn away by the tides. Soon another would rise, one that had not been refined by the river. Quil gazed at them as the woman continued to speak.

She brought up the fact that the jagged unrefiend rock would surely not function as a skipping stone. The two rocks hovered in front of him, the woman then took the smooth stone and whipped it across the water, it skipped five times then plopped down back into the water. Quil continued to look at the jagged rock before grabbing it, it's rough edges rubbing against his hand, he then attempted to skip it across the water, as soon as it touched the water it's jagged edges caught on the water and it plopped in.

"We could try." He would say softly as he watched the ripples slowly recede back into the flow of the river.

The woman then offered answers at the cost if tests, at the cost of failure. Quil watched as she opened her hand again, beckoning him to come and accept her offer. The teen looked to her hand, then to the river.

"What kind of hardships and strife?" He would ask as he took a uncertain step towards her.

"Any and all. I have felt loss, pain, degradation, and many more before I became who I am today. You may feel the same. You may have a different path to tread. Thus, I can only show you what I know."

The man was drawing closer. His instincts wanted him to run. Yet he stayed. He was curious. He wanted to know more. He wanted the answers many sought after. Much like myself. I too, wanted answers. Mine were much, much different. Reaching forward, the man continued to seem as though he was antzy. Not sure if he should.

"This is your choice. Only you can make the decision to come with me. Let me show you a different way to find your answers."

Quil's mind began to race as the woman in front of him spoke, she said how he might have to trials of all three. Quil continued to stare at her, processing what she had been saying.

The way the woman presented herself, she was confident, she seemed fit enough to easily carry herself in a tough situation. The teen continued to let her speak. She said that it was his choice. But it was a different way to find answers. One different from the way he learned with his previous master? Quil sighed as he looked back up to the blue sky, the white clouds...home.

Bringing his line of vision back down to the woman, he would look her dear in the eyes. He was dying to find answers about the force.

"On one condition..." The pacifist paused

"I will not raise a weapon against someone." He said firmly. He had limits.

But limits are meant to be pushed and broken.
