Major Locations:
  • Central
Central is the seat of power for the Architect and the political figures of the Geniocracy. The complex is situated on a manmade plateau, for which the governmental buildings are located. Achieving access to Central is through an invitation to utilise Centrals personal spaceport, or civilian access at one of twenty gates. Central is heavily patrolled and guarded by the Architects Sworn, an elite bodyguard designated with the protection of Central. The life of the Architect is second to the protection of Central, but had been named in honour of those that lead their society. Central is a key seat of power due to the housing of major intellectual minds in Antecedent society, and thus a vital location in terms of protection. Central can be identified by its cylindrical shaped buildings. In comparison to the largely skyscraper populated world, Central is small. With buildings averaging from five to twenty stories high, the buildings focus on width rather than height. The main seat of power spans six hundred meters in diameter.
  • Ground Zero
Ground Zero is the surface of the planet. It is known for its vast patrolling of security droids on the city streets, and crime scenes. Although much of the city is currently crime free, the planet-wide city is incapable of total crime-free society. Ground Zero is known not only for its abundant crime in specific sectors such as the lower-class residential sectors, but the sprawling nightclubs and cantinas. These nightclubs are heavily regulated with illegal narcotics being at an all time low. Cantinas are regularly patrolled by security droids to prevent criminals that have warrants for their arrest from congregating, along with arresting such criminals. They're also there to keep the peace as cantinas have become known, not only on Antecedent, but the larger galactic body, as a frequent location of brawls, firefights and the rare duel among force users. Though the cantinas of Ground Zero are largely without the latter.

Culture: Above all else, the culture of Antecedent is one of intellect. From birth, a tremendous amount of emphasis is based on an individuals intellect. Intellectual minds were the elite of Antecedent society. It is through Geniocracy that it has birthed a unique culture in the galaxy.

Daily life for the inhabitants of Antecedent seems relatively normal to that of citizens of Coruscant, or Alderaan. There are small differences, here and there. Minor crimes are punished with a unique set of punishments, and has been adapted into the daily life of all citizens. It is a punishment known as invisibility. Invisibility will result in the criminal having physical alterations made on their body, most notably their forehead. The forehead is marked with a tattoo, and as long as the tattoo remains, they're in a sense, invisible. Their voice box is surgical altered so they cannot speak, their ears are altered so they cannot hear. They walk among society, incapable of hearing or speaking. Not only this, but as a society, it is law not to speak to or acknowledge one who is invisible. Finalising their punishment as one who is invisible. It is known for invisible people to suffer immense psychological harm as a result of this punishment, as observed at the end of their term. It is documented that one in fifty thousand are invisible. Those currently invisible who commit crimes are punished by droids. It is not uncommon for an invisible person in the late stages of their term to sporadically commit crimes to instigate droids to acknowledge their existence. Repeated offence results in isolated jail terms. Life is all but normal for the people of Antecedent, to travel to work, for parents to play with their children, to eat out at restaurants, but there are those that walk among them, who are not there. Invisibility in Antecedentian society has proven to be a very effective punishment tool, resulting in criminals ending their term to be a much more appreciative and happy person than they formerly were. Another factor of life is the routine patrols of security droids on Ground Zero, but this is not a strange occurrence to the galaxy in comparison to the invisible.

Society of Antecedent, and its government, can rarely be compared to other societies. There are societies out there similar, or even the same as Antecedent, but they're few in number. The emphasis of intellectual genius is a behemoth of discussion among Antecedentians, even more so Force-Sensitives. The two categories of people become the elite of society. While Antecedent is without what one would call Jedi, Dark Jedi or Sith, they do have Force-Sensitive scholars, ones who do not take up arms in conflict. Intellectual children are often placed in unique schools in Central, where they have the choice to join the elite of society. The ruling class of Antecedent are known for their desire for cybernetic implants, or utility suits. Since The First Architect, utility suits have become a fashion craze for the elite. Serving as not only useful aids in the workplace, but an identification that they're the upper class. Those who're both Intellectual and Force-Sensitive are further segregated from other communities within society, they're destined to become the Architect, the successor of Antecedent. In their own sub-society of intellectual force-sensitives, they vie for intellectual and force supremacy. The top among them go on to become powerful political figures, and one will become the next Architect.

Antecedentians have a unique fascination for lights. Their historic connection to Coruscant has resulted in the art of Antecedent becoming highly favoured to neon lights. The ecumenopolis is visibly represented by societies view on art. The planet itself from space is lit up and is never dark, even when the sun is not facing the planet. For all the pollution that goes into the atmosphere as a result of these lights, the planet itself is not in danger. The atmosphere is regularly technological repaired by the use of controlling weather and pollution disposal. Ground Zero is known as the artistic hub of Antecedent, as all the lights of the city can be easily seen from the streets. Looking up, a myriad of swirling neon lights dance upon the eyes of the citizens.

Sport on Antecedent is incredibly violent, for droids. Sport is not participated by organics, but rather replaced by droids due to the extreme dangers of their sport. In a manner similar to football, played throughout the galaxy, the version crafted by the Antecedentians of the game is much more deadly. The reason for droids participating only in the sport is that, as stated, the sport itself is lethal to participants. The game follows the basics of football, but varies in that the ball in carried. A droid will attempt to place the ball at the opposing end of the field. The droid can be tackled, damaged and killed. It is a regular occurrence to watch one droid decapitate another droid by the use of only their hands. The sport itself is incredibly costly to field players, but the mass swathe of gamblers in the society provides an income to fuel the sport. The sport is so popular, that there are several companies and product lines solely dedicated to football droid.

Antecedent has a strong military presence, but not one that could compete with galactic powers. It's military force stretches to the far reaches of the Primeval System, but no more. Antecedent is a token of its personal military presence. The city is dotted by military compounds that sprawl several dozen kilometres. These compounds contain monstrous-sized cannons designed as a defensive mechanism to prevent invasion by foreign forces, providing a means to fire at orbiting foreign invaders from planetary ground. Although these compounds are not entirely designated only to these weapons, but to the training and housing of all military personal, including the production of security and military-grade droids.

Technology: The Antecedent have a deep and thorough understanding of droids, to this extent, they have prevented most droids from obtaining artificial intelligence or becoming self-aware. It is through the understanding of droids that it can be incredibly dangerous for organics to live amongst self-aware, artificially intelligent droids, that they have prevented droids from obtaining such a life. Other than the superior understanding of droids, and their mechanisms and production, Antecedent is lacking in technology in comparison to the galaxy. The military relies entirely on slugthrowers, with the only other form of weaponry being disruptors, though such weapons are classified as illegal. Space travel has fallen behind, in comparison to modern technology, were one to estimate the fleet of the Antecedentians, their ships would be equal to those constructed in 3,600 BBY. Their design and production is vastly outdated. There is also a major lack of propulsion drives outside of the navy, with ground forces and civilians using wheeled or rotary vehicles. Ground Zero has become an intricate set of streets and highways as a requirement of the wheeled vehicles, with much of the population preferring transport by tram or train. Though they have fallen far behind to the galaxy in this aspect, their droids is not only their specificality. Antigravity has become a thing of deep curiosity among scholars of Central, along with terraforming. The Architect is currently rumoured to be planning an expedition to the other planets of the star system and begin terraforming the previously uninhabitable planets as the population continues to skyrocket.

History: It began with the Sacking of Coruscant, 3653 BBY. A Jedi within the Education Corps, of whom had failed his Jedi initiate trails, known as The Architect, managed to lead a mass-exodus of Coruscanti civilians. With an unknown jump vector, due to a chase of Sith starfighters, they landed in the far reaches of the galaxy. With little knowledge of where they were, or what to do now as the Republic crumbled, they sought out a habitable planet. It was a full year before a planet was discovered, and rations had been devastatingly low. Cannibalism had become an actual source of food for some on board the ships within the meagre fleet. The Architect, now known as The Firct Architect, was among many Jedi of the Education Corps, of which led the people. Landing on the planet of Eos Minor, a formerly unmarked planet, they began to cultivate the land. It was named Antecedent, for there were signs of former life on the planet. Though it was deemed by many scholars the former life were an immigrated species, much like those currently on the planet. It was believed the former life had terraformed the planet into a more suitable and habitable one that could support life. It is unknown which culture or species inhabited the planet, but it is rumoured the former life had been Rakatan.

The First Architect degreed a government body of Geniocracy, an attempt to lead their people to greatness. Though technological wonders were slow in making, and there was no golden age for the inhabitants of Antecedent. They became segregated from the greater galaxy, refusing to take any part in the war that waged between the Galactic Republic and Sith Emprie. The First Architect formed an isolationist society out of the survivors of the Sacking of Coruscant. The population bloomed and the people flourished. There was times of great construction, in a matter of three thousand years, the planet had become an all encompassing city. Local planets, moons and asteroids were mined for minerals, rather than stripping the only planet they had of resources. The Architects that followed the First were conscious of their planet, and its dire need to expand. Terraforming soon became something of wonder and obsession, vying to claim neighbouring planets and even contemplating the return their society to the galactic community. These things never came to pass.

During the Gulag plague that ran rampant across the stars, an undesignated freighter entered the system. It was not detected in time, and the plague had spread to Antecedent. The planet that once threatened to burst at its seams with overpopulation were overwhelmed by the disease, losing literal billions of lives. When it ended, the population was entirely more manageable than before, but at a hefty cost. Antecedent has been given more time, to think and decide. To colonise other planets, or to reach out a hand to the galactic community for help. The threat of another plague was enough to install orbiting satellites that could detect any unknown vessel within a one-hundred-million-kilometer radius of the planet, enough that any ship that was at the least two planets close to Antecedent would be seen, and therefore could be intercepted and terminated by naval forces. The satellites would work as a way to map the stars and activity of neighbouring systems when it was not detecting foreign entities. The history of Antecedent is minimal in comparison to its culture, the history is that of colonisation and a simple life for the people of the planet. The plague had devastated them, but they dare to rise again. The inhabitants are interesting, there is no doubting that, but Antecedent is but a grain of sand on a beach compared to the larger galaxy.

Notable PCs: Currently, Luminous Sun Everlasting is the only PC, but will be going through recruitment of other players to role-play with on the planet and in conjunction with the planets storyline.
Intent: The purpose of this planet is to create a unique planet for which players can explore and discover a whole new atmosphere within the Star Wars galaxy. This submission will be accompanied by many other factory submissions for NPC's, companies related to the planet, starships, technology and locations. Antecedent will be a thoroughly deep and rich environment for which the people of Star Wars can explore, or conquer. It will also be the host of a minor factions where characters of Antecedent may talk, role-play and discuss.

Throughout this entire entry, this is my only problem.

An array of satellites that can apparently take out any ships incoming? Yeah thats not gonna work out. I'm okay with them being able to detect ships, because thats relatively normal, but terminate? Definitely not.

The satellites detect the ships, not terminate them. I should have worded it better, and will do so right now. By termination, I mean't that is what the navy-boys would do, not the satellites. As you said, the satellites would be only for detection. Correcting now.

Okay, with that clarification, i will be approving this. Its obvious you put a lot of work and thought into this, and there's no real chance for abuse. Its just another City-World in a galaxy that already has more than a dozen.

That being said, if i suddenly see you make an NPC army out of the entire population of this planet i'll be mildly upset!
