Just wondering game terms
what can use it for
I was planning just using it for explosives
and I am part way through dep thread for it

I was wondering in game terms, how do anti matter reactors compare to Solar ionization reactor
as I am thinking specializing in this field for my ships

currently converting space station to produce anti matter, was thinking of design one as part thread
game terms what are pros and cons

Ayden did a post about this sometime ago let me see if I can find it.

Power Core Generator/Reactor
What fuels the ship? All capital ship reactors, whether antimatter, hypermatter, or solar ionization, produce roughly the same amount of power. Antimatter and hypermatter are slightly more powerful, but also more volatile and dangerous. Small craft generally use an ionization reactor, a cryogenic reactor, or standard fuel cells. All small craft generators produce roughly the same amount of power, except for standard fuel cells, which are cheap and stable but produce lower power yields.

in game terms having anti matter for a station could be dangerous and if it breaches well. See how often Federation ships have to eject their warp cores and run.

Antimatter reactors would be considerably more complex, heavy, and expensive because of the extensive shielding and precautions that are needed to keep the antimatter from reacting negatively and uncontrollably.

Okay been thinking about concept for my company anti matter reactor
same as standard one, bar these
slightly less power as the power is converted back into extra shields to protect the core
if core is shot out, it could be used as low power engine, some thing along the lines of standard fuel cell.
This would be a type back up.
