- Unit Name: Anubian Sand Demon
- Affiliation: Eternal Empire / Spear | The Sith Empire / The Primyn Group
- Classification: Light infantry and assassin
- Description: They all look essentially the same, as these are demons from the Netherworld. In appearance, they are roughly the same as their living breed counterparts. They are approximately 230 cm high and weigh approximately 100 kg. In appearance they are very similar to the living Anubians, but on closer inspection it can be seen that they are not living beings and it is also noticeable that they are composed entirely of sand. They are trained warriors, so whoever summons them can be a big help to him.
- Unit Size: Small (5-6 members)
- Unit Availability: Uncommon
- Unit Experience: Veteran
- Equipment: N/A (Claws)
- Combat Function: Due to their capabilities, they are also great for light infantry and for reconnaissance and/or assassination. Trained warriors, stronger than a human, are able to appear behind someone’s back from one moment to the next if there is sand in that place as well. Their claws are razor-sharp and resilient, allowing them to cross durasteel like felacatians. They are also great for melee, infiltration and assassination. However, they are no longer sure to be effective against heavy infantry, especially if the enemy has high kinetic protection. In addition, they can cause a sandstorm under the right conditions, and that doesn’t bother them, but it does bother the enemy.
- Travel like a sand: Sorcerers and necromancers summon/conjure them from sand and stones, allowing them to disintegrate into sand and thus travel, not conspicuously in the shape of a grain of sand. Then after that they reassemble into their true shape. Within sight, they are essentially able to travel this way in seconds, but they can only go to a place at the speed they see and there is sand or stone there as well.
- It Penetrates Everywhere: In their sand form, they can penetrate even very small gaps. This way they can get into buildings, ships, or even poorly insulated armours. Or if they are inhaled by living things, it has a very detrimental effect on the living thing.
- Predators of the Dune: They are excellent predators, fast, skillful, and stronger than humans. In addition, their claws are as strong as those of felacatians, meaning they can cut through several centimeters of durasteel surface with it.
- Regenerate: If there is sand or sandstone, possibly softer stone near them, they are able to absorb it and make it their own part, thereby regenerating and repairing their damage.
- Sandstorm: They are able to use the alter environment Force ability at a minimal level, thus evoking a minor sandstorm. The more sand demons there are in one place, the stronger and larger area the summoned storm will cover in which these creatures can move and act perfectly.
- Lot of material: The size of the unit is only small for a reason, as each summoned creature needs at least 100kg of sand. They are composed of sand, so in a place where there is not a sufficient amount of sand, e.g. a city, it is impossible to summon these beings there. And they can’t heal later if they are moved from elsewhere to such a sand-free area.
- The Light Side: Because they were created with necromancy and the power of the Dark Side, Light Side Force abilities have a much greater impact on them, making it easier to destroy them.
- Water, the Enemy: Water is the enemy of sand, this is also completely true of the Sand Demons. They are easy to wash off with water, slow down in rain, weaken, or even fall apart, and they will only be able to reassemble (if they are able to do so) after they are completely dry.
- Oh, the Glasses: Because they are made of sand, fire affects them as much as any other sand. It can turn them into glass.
- Without Force: In a place where the Force is weaker there, these creatures are weaker, slower, and unable to live most of their abilities (only their claws remain). And in a completely Force-free area, they cease to exist.
- No Armour: They do not have armor, so they can be damaged in any way, if someone inflicts enough damage, they can be completely destroyed in one fell swoop. Otherwise, they die in a similar way to anyone else, especially if they can’t regenerate.
The Anubians were found on two major planets in the Galaxy, one in the TSE area (already Bryn’adûl) and the other in the Eternal Empire. Ankhypt and Duatiel. Already at the invasion of Ankhypt, the planet’s high priestess, also ruler, used undead anubians against the Bryn’adûl threat, but then they were defeated and the planet was lost. It was then that it occurred to someone that the deceased anubians could still be utilized in some way.
There are several individuals involved in both TSE and EE affairs, one of whom is Curse, one of Spear’s executives who is also one of the Archons in the Primyn Group. The dark-side Nexus on the planet Duatiel offered him a great opportunity to practice and experiment here. And after the invasion of Ankhypt, he created the spell that can be used to summon Anubian Sand Demons from the Netherworld.
The Anubians have always been very attached to the sand and the desert, this is true of them in their lives and in their deaths. This is also why the Netherworld has changed the souls that go there in this direction. For this reason, it is perhaps not so surprising that their summoning is also related to the sand, and most of their abilities reflect exactly this. They are children of the sand and the desert, both in their lives and in their deaths.
In the Netherworld, it was probably only the stronger characters, the warriors, who were able to preserve themselves, so that explains why all the demons are warriors and well-trained. Their number is not known, how many there may be, presumably many. Due to their talents and abilities, they are great melee fighters, but they are also great for other missions.
They usually work in groups of five to six, which is the maximum. How much and how easily these demons can be summoned depends entirely on location. In a place where there is a lot of sand or soft stone, it is easy to have several groups, and dead individuals can also be easily replaced. However, in a place where there is not really sand and the conditions are not right, it is possible that even summoning a creature is causing difficulties and there is no way to summon more of these.
By implication, the more people in a place, the more dangerous they become, as they are able to affect a larger area with an ability called an alter environment.
