- Capable of endo/exo-atmospheric flight, as well as undersea operations; able to submerge to very low depths and retain exceptional speeds and agility.
- Potent weapons are more than a match against other starfighters, vehicles, submersibles, etc.
- Not an especially advanced craft and has only average armaments, making it a fast, maneuverable, but otherwise conventional air/space/sea fighter. It’s tough enough in a fight, but it’s really more of an interceptor-type fighter than a superiority fighter, meaning it relies on speed and agility rather than brute force. Thus, it’s just not meant for prolonged and intense combat situations, especially against tougher, better armed fighters or superior numbers.
- If power systems are disabled or damaged, very serious risks to the ship and its pilot become immediately evident, particularly if submerged, as the hydrostatic shields will not hold out for long.
Based on the technology of the old Manta droid subfighters, so much as to use the exact same repulsor-type engines for undersea maneuverability and travel, the Anura-class demonstrates an impressive speed and agility – be it in the air, in space, or undersea. Built more like an interceptor than a superiority fighter, it isn’t meant for heavy battles and prolonged, intense combat against superior numbers or ships, but rather to provide a light, fast, and maneuverable fighter with a unique submarine capacity. This capacity however is contingent on the ship’s power systems, which are well-shielded, remaining in perfect operation. Damage or malfunction – especially undersea – places the pilot and his/her ship into grave danger.
