Any Planet, Any Time
Balcony Bistro
Denon Academy of Science, Metropolitan
Republic Space

A bustling cityscape below. An endless blue sky above. This was the Balcony Bistro. A wide balcony expanse jutting out from the tall DAS academy. White tables, white cloth napkins, and white umbrella awnings above every pleasant chair. She had class. Noah had to give her that.

"What can I get you sir?"

"I'll have an appetizer of fried pickles and a Dr. Piper. Oh... And I'm expecting one more. Thanks."

Noah leaned back in his chair and pulled down on his sunglasses. Lifting up his latest paperback and flipping back to Chapter One. He had time before she joined him. After all? A wizard is never late.

She'll arrive precisely when she means too.

Late! Laaate! Helen's quick metal tapped shoes flung themselves across metallic pavement as quickly as they would allow, leaving one arm rapidly swinging back and forth, and one holding her neat fedora over her head. She looked like someone who just walked their way out of a cross-dressing competition, and won. She had a faint bit of glue on her upper lip where a fake mustache once laid, and an entire suit of classy red velvet, with a purple shirt hanging under it, and again to red with a thick tie that went under her jacket.
Her feet skid to a stop once she was at the destination, then again her shoes tapped down until she reached the front desk. With a hurried and out of breath voice, she spoke out in a tired breath. "Louie." The waitress didn't seem to mind, though when she arrived at the table with Louie at her tail, she gave a strange look of disgust.
Helen gave a smile, though tiredness still blushed on her cheeks. After a moment to get her hat off and her jacket unbuttoned, she sat down and broadened her grin. "Sorry if I came a bit late," She excused herself, her mind racing to think of another excuse that didn't much mention her story telling at the public library. It was embarrassing be told, but she had the voice for it if she tried! "This place is really great, lemme tell you that."

Noah smiled and closed his paperback book. Crossing his legs and nodding to the flustered gal, [member="Helen Louie"] , with a flick of his cloth napkin.

"So? ...You're the money, eh."

And he just kept on smiling.

Helen loosely shrugged her shoulders with a pleasant smile crossing her face, and slowly forcing the raised blood to vanish from her cheeks and continue their regularly flowing program. "That I am." She announced with a touch more of a braver voice. "And you're... my date!" She said with a faint giggle ending her tone.

That remark made him lean back in his chair and smirk. Biting his lower lip and looking Lou up and down. From toe to head. Or, head to toe. If you're feeling unspecific. He seemed to playfully enjoy her tone and body language. Fashion? Well... That was a mess, sure. But who needs fashion anyway. Leave that fancy stuff to the Sith Lords and Jedi Preachers. Noah felt just fine-and-dandy naked anyway. Naked could be every woman's jam.

Noah let a long silence linger. Just like his charming smile. Letting the wild cityscape's air and hover air speeder's do the talking. Letting the breeze have a moment to itself,

"So. I hear you're in radio? ...Any truth to those dastardly rumors? Hh."

He placed his cloth napkin back into his lap and set aside his book on the table. They could chat.

Helen slowly trailed her eyes back and forth from the menu to her date. She didn't like most of the food here, but there were a few select items she enjoyed, including that of desert. She just hoped she could convince her date to let HER pay her share, since she did in time... eat way too much. The gift of great metabolism!
"Well, sometimes, and sometimes we just go about a one way argument on how it was the other person's fault. Bleh. I hear it all the time, but if I agree with the client I usually get a reward for that party." She smirked a touch more, then rapidly pointed to the nacho-like items on the menu. "I'm gonna get these. These are really good."

He raised an eyebrow at that comment. Just what on earth was she talking about? So he leaned in and placed his arms on the table. Smiling playfully and cocking his head like a happy little teacup.

"Sorry. You lost me. ...What do you do again?"

The nachos seemed agreeable. But he had pickles coming, so he'd pass on shared portions.

She went quiet for a moment, then giggled and rubbed her head. After a moment of digging in her pockets, she pulled out what seemed to be a comlink and turned it on. It was... swing music! From one of her favorite artists [member="Daniel Silverton"] who had a record for being adorable while she danced and sung. "I play music, on the radio. Right now it's running a pre-recorded script, but almost every week I have a meeting with a client who wishes to talk on the radio. Get... you know, their story out, their word on the problems."

Ah. A DJ. Never met one of those before. Huh. Did they all dress that way? Mmm. Probably not. Some of them had to be Ithorian. Sh'maybe.

"Ah... I see. You're into music then?"

He leaned back and let the waiter deliever his pickles and drink. Then stop to take their orders. Noah ordered large chicken lunch. Then it was Helen's turn. After she had placed her order, Noah took a moment to scan the horizon. Just enjoying the view.

"So. What's it like being a radio personality then? Single? Wealthy? ...Adorable?"

He smiled at that last part. Waiting for Lou to do her thing.

Helen had ordered the nachos as she liked, as well as a nice juicy pair of mozzarella sticks. It didn't take long for the question to rise, and just as she was about to comment on how she was relatively wealthy for someone in her position, her cheeks began to burn and she burst out laughing.
"Ahahahaaaa! Ahaaaha!" Every few seconds she could take a breath, and continue to laugh historically. Snorting and giggling loudly, over and over, and over again. Even if she got stares from other tables, even when she was asked to quiet down, she couldn't help herself. Luckily, this place didn't have many people that could kick her out, and by the time they did she would have already eaten and gotten over her laughing fit.

Noah seemed surprised. But was far from embarrassed. In fact, he was rather curious now. Just what on earth had pushed Bow-tie here, right over the edge?

He shrugged and waited for the D-of-the-J, to explain.

[member="Helen Louie"]

Helen chuckled and giggled slowly, letting it die off. She slowly wiped tears from her eyes and took deep breaths, standing to stand up to get some air in her lungs, and let her full throbbing blood red cheeks chill out in the cool balcony air. "Oh, gosh. Adorable..." She shook her head slowly as she took another breath. "That's funny."

Noah kept his eyebrows braced for another spat of crazy. Though, still curious. He continued to eat his fried pickles tentatively. Giving his date the space she needed to fly up, and just maybe, come back down to earth too.

Sh'maybe...

He watched her strangely with the crisp snap of his pickle. It was still her ball.

Helen slowly sat down with a pleased sigh, taking a long moment to just rub her face and push together her cheeks before a normal, human smile filled her face and she looked back to the stranger before her. At least she had calmed down, a tad bit. "Sorry, so um... What do you do for a living?" She asked quietly.

What?

Now this made Noah really smile. Ha. She had completely forgotten his question. Wow. Okay... Ya know, what? That was fair. He could play this game. Crazy was good too. He could do crazy.

"I'm a Jedi."

He couldn't help but chuckle at himself. A Jedi... Ha. Right. Like, not in a million years. Pfft.

He kept his blushing cheeks down to a minimum and wait for her response. This... This should be good.

[member="Helen Louie"]

Helen's face twisted into a small frown, then she shrugged gently and reached to snatch and nibble one of the pickles. After a moment of quietness, she tossed the pickle into the air, then threw it forward to the strange man. She knew enough about Jedis, having met too many of them, to understand that they should be able to catch a simple pickle with a sight she probably couldn't see.

"Jedi..." She mumbled with a touch of a giggle.

Ackt!

Noah jumped as the pickle hit him right in the chest. Eww! Gross.

"Hey now..."

He mumbled as he grabbed his napkin. Dusting off his perfectly good brown shirt. Poo... Didn't she know cannibal's loved this shirt. Frack.

"That isn't nice. Why you gotta go and be picking on the Jedi, huh?"

He looked up from his shift and smiled. Yeahhh... He wasn't a Jedi.

[member="Helen Louie"]

Helen softly giggled and twirled a small piece of hair in her fingers, looking at the silly cannibal brown attracting shirt. "How about you tell me what you really do for a living, hmm?" She asked with a touch of amusement and purr in her voice.

He dusted off his shirt and nodded. Good enough.

"I'm a pilot."

Noah smiled another devious smile. Though, this time? He was actually telling the truth. ...Well. Half of it, anyway.

"I fly freight for the LAA in Sanctum space. Near Voss. And as it turns out?.. I'm also working on getting my Class E license at the same time. So I can fly larger commercial vessels for the Corporations."

The part he left out was also quite important too. About being both a Bounty Hunter, an Ex Fleet Admiral, and a spy. But women hate those types of 'dangerous' jobs. So he only talked about his day job. All Bruce Wayne, and no Batman. I suppose.

"And I make a lot of money doing it. Mmm."

Also true.

He smiled and snacked on another pickle.

"...So? Why dating?"

[member="Helen Louie"]

Helen smiled herself, though it wasn't as full as it was before. Just a pilot... She was hoping for something different, something exciting. It's as if this man found so much excitment in just flying about that he didn't need anything else. That put a pamper on her thoughts of him. Then again... she wasn't aware how much he could fly, or how well in the face of dangerous situations. "I was dating for the excitement," She explained with a quiet hand motion in front of her, like clashes of her mind.

"I started to date so I could meet new people and learn how they work, what they do. Not one of the... normal jobs, as a Jedi, or something." She nearly scoffed at the word. "There's like a tenth of the people out there, Jedi."
