Juliet Varos
The Satin Sith
Corporation Name: Apex Apparel
Headquarters: Nan'thri
Locations: Nan'thri
Operations: Clothing and accessory manufacturing.
Rationale: At its humble beginning, the Apex corporation was a meat packing business, dealing in the planet's major export of food. However, it always struggled, as there were dozens of other large businesses like it scattered across Nan'thri. Apex was also beset by a host of other problems, such as labor union strikes, various changes in the faction owning the planet, and a general distaste for the meat packing industry from the public. Distraught, Apex changed hands many times, each trying their own hand at running the business before giving up and handing it off to the next owner in line.
That is, until the rise of the Sith Triumvirate. After the collapse of the Techno Union, the current owner of Apex wanted to get off world as quickly as possible, looking for a buyer for Apex. And he found one in the form of Juliet Varos, a Sith looking for a place to start a clothing line. He agreed to sell her all of the rights to the company for an incredibly low price, eager to get the heck out of dodge.
Once Juliet had the company, she knew many changes had to take place, starting with the name, which was now Apex Apparels. She then converted the meat factory into a place suitable for her rather particular taste in fashion, which included an incredibly deep cleaning and redecoration, followed by laying off most of the employees and recruiting clothing specialists. Satisfied with the new face of the Apex corporation, Juliet was ready to begin her venture into the corporate world.
Tier: 2
Description: The philosophy of Apex Apparel is to produce high end products at a limited rate, to give their products a higher value. It wouldn't be true fashion if just every plebeian could get their hands on it, after all. The vast majority of the companies expenses go towards procuring the materials for their products, even more than the actual manufacturing. To make up this cost, Apex charges a pretty penny for their clothing, adding credence to their claim of high end fashion. After all, tell someone something enough times, and they start to believe it.
Despite being run by a member of the newfound Sith Triumvirate, Apex Apparel does not exclude it's services to any group considered an enemy of the Triumvirate. Any who can afford its clothing is welcome to give Apex their money. The majority of their sales take place on the Holonet, anyway, not giving a face to their company.
The Apex corporation also hires very few employees, just the bare minimum for their company to run smoothly. This is to make up for the cost of procuring the rare materials for their products.
