[APB - WANTED] - (i401) Sedition, (i315) Mutiny
"Lumikki, a frontier planet of very little in the way of strategic value or material wealth. The only thing it has in plenty is natural beauty: across the surface of this minuscule world is a flowing, weaving desert that stretches beyond the horizon. From the sun-bleached sands rise antediluvian pillars of stone, worn smooth by thousands of years of billowing dust storms. The locals believe them to be the last act of ancient giants long buried beneath the dunes, their fingers stretching out towards freedom. When the night breeze weaves between the mesas and columns, one can occasionally hear a haunting melody - as if the world itself was trying to speak to you, murmur little things into your ear.
.. Of course, then the Empire had to drop an ugly airbase right in the middle of it."
Basic Premise
Hello! I would like to put forward an idea for a minor faction within the timeline with a focus on a unique take on your usual Imperial military unit. The long and short of it is that the group revolves around an independent group of remnants stationed on a remote, unimportant world. Essentially forgotten in the chaos of the Empire's collapse and under a total communications blackout, the local garrison lives on without realizing that the apparatus they served under is gone. But, a twist: the base had fallen silent even before the Galactic Empire's collapse, intentionally entering radio silence after a mutiny managed to seize control. Now awaiting the inevitable consequences of their treachery, the men and women of the 144th Garrison Division (name pending) train their turbolaser batteries towards the sky and bide their time... for now.
Intended Aesthetic/Mood
The mutineers have not had resupply for some time, relying on trade with the indigenous natives and meticulous maintenance of what equipment they do have. As such, they have a kind of rough-and-tumble aesthetic - many may have missing pieces of kit or nonstandard additions to their uniform. Mingling with the local tribes has had a huge impact on their appearance, ranging from little trinkets clipped to belts, to the colorful shawls and flashy warpaint favored by native hunters.
That is not to say that the unit has suffered a total breakdown in discipline: when it comes to warfighting, the mutineers remain highly motivated, organized, and well-trained.
Objectives & Goals
The exact details of the mutiny, the unit itself, and the planet are up in the air for now, pending interest in the idea and any further suggestions! Obviously, the faction won't stay isolated forever - I hope to maybe get a kind of "first contact" situation with either a minor or major group. I have half a mind to write them as having turned to banditry to survive, but I'll first get a feel for what would do best in the setting for now. Thanks for giving my post a read!

Objectives & Goals
- Offer a unique take and angle on the Imperial military, encapsulating disillusionment of the Empire's rank-and-file.
- Create and develop an interesting, dynamic storyline - beginning from the mutiny itself and on!
- Give both individuals and other factions an interesting minor group to interact with.
