The traditional armor of the Aran'kha, the Aran'kha Yha'rid or Aran'kha Armor in galactic basic, is an armorset that has been developed over centuries of tradition and honing the art of warfare. The armor boasts an unmistakeable Ra'Kathan flair, with its orange gaberwool turban, golden kathite plating, and gleaming ringmail. It serves as the standard armor peace of the Aran'kha, also known as the Kemotat Guard, who serve as soldiers and policers on Ra'Katha.
All pieces of the armor are generally the same, although carvings can be modified with personal aesthetic markings -- these are usually done for captains or members of high social status. Three main protective materials make up the armor; Bojo'uomo Leather, Duranium Ringmail, and Kathite Plating, listed in the order proportional to the amount of body surface they cover. This combination allows for the armor to be extremely flexible compared to standard full-plating armor sets, affording the Aran'kha greater mobility and less insulation in the desert heat.
Altogether, the armor of the Aran'kha is meant to afford the footsoldiers of Ra'Katha protection as well as designate them true warriors of the planet of the golden sun.
