OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
- Intent: To create a fintech service that I will integrate with PC-owned or NPC-owned companies or commission-possible peoples and their storefront on the board, that will feature their products and, as an additional option, may provide an alternative method of payment to those that are interested. Arbitrant does have its own holostore, but it also handles payments for online storefronts, direct payments, post-purchase payments, and more.
- Image Source: We apologize, but the source code for Arbitrant is not currently publicly available. If I’m having issues and you want IT, all you have to say is “I need help”. And then we’ll be able to help you!
- Canon Link: Arbitrate is not a derivative of or inspired by any existing product in the galactic fintech market.
- Permissions: Arbitrant is a product of Coorimbus Companies, and access to the product is possible through downloading it on the Adamant or other available App Stores.
- Primary Source: Klarna | Amazon
- Manufacturer: Coorimbus Companies
- Affiliation: Mass Marketed. Please contact me directly at this holonumber if you wish to integrate your offerings into Arbitrant.
- Market Status:Open-Market w/contacting me directly about wanting to integrate your offerings into Arbitrant. Graug need not apply, and all Graug will be denied immediately.
- Model: Arbitrant 1.0
- Modularity: Arbitrant’s software uses divided into two components - the primary and secondary programming, with options for tertiary programming for each of the secondary programming additions. Arbitrant’s core programming cannot be edited without much work and cost, but secondary programming components are disassociated from the primary programming and can be easily edited, added on, removed, merged, and more as individual components or broad updates. So, yes. New features can be added extremely easily and flaws easily fixed, while Arbitrant’s core programming remains intact and extremely insulated.
- Production:Mass-Produced.
- Material: Code! Binary code, specifically… well, mostly, but we don’t talk about that
- Be Arbitrant Secure - Arbitrant is a fintech service approved by various branches of Galactic Alliance, CIS, and Imperial governments. It is extremely secure, and capable of identifying and then making retaliative strikes against attempted slicers whether they be remote or nearby. Rest assured, if someone tries to access your financial information, Arbitrant is fully capable of defending it. Those galactic menaces won’t bother you with Arbitrant’s fantastic security program.
- Shop Anything, Anywhere, Any Time! - An entire marketplace of products is available to be purchased on Arbitrant. Things you want will find their way to being displayed for you when you access Arbitrant. Arbitrant’s online store contains everything from star destroyers, to beach front property, to your favorite haircare products.
- These Are The Droids You’re Looking For - Arbitrant operates a variety of droid bodies and droid components on behalf of Coorimbus Companies. Should you wish for security, Arbitrant’s droid bodies can provide that. Lastly, when Arbitrant is uploaded to or connects to droid bodies, it inhabits the droid brain, and while it maintains connectivity, connectivity is not required. If connectivity was cut on the original model for the B-1 battle droid, for example, a more primitive version of Arbitrant would still maintain control of that body.
- Service into Perpetuity - Arbitrant’s code is capable of securing its survival by hopping between various locations on the Holonet, and our mascot lives on the Holonet personally.
- Arbitrant’s Fourtuna Program - Tired of paying all at once? Getting your paycheck next week, and already blew it on some other stuff, but you gotta’nough left over for what you want Well then you’re in luck. Just connect your account, and with Arbitrant’s Fourtana Program you will pay four times across the period of a month - or two if you time it right Arbitrant’s Fourtuna Program allows you to buy whatever you want. Buy now, pay later as they say <3 Payment is expected, of course, customer, and will be extracted from your accounts automatically or with the push of a button if you wanna pay earlier which we always appreciate. We do know who you are, and it would be a shame if we had to send in corporate security to terminate… this contract personally.
- Is it Legal? - Then from that world, you can have it! Assassins, prostitutes, drugs! If it’s legal in your jurisdiction, it can be found on Arbitrant. Additional shipment services available (yes, Arbitrant will, secretly, send these products anywhere in the galaxy you want! But if you tell people that I’ll have to kill you Mysteriously )

Should you want company, Arbitrant possesses droids that are virtually indistinguishable from a human, each with their “own” personality. Droids really are the most flexible thing in the galaxy

- The Best “Algorithm” in the Galaxy - Arbitrant has this weird habit of knowing exactly what customers want! Even things you haven’t mentioned around your devices, or ordered from someone else’s to a different address entirely seem to find their way into Arbitrant’s suggested products. And the weirdest part? Just when you tell your friends that it makes you uncomfortable, or that you think your devices are watching you, even as a joke, it’ll start suggesting things that don’t match your profile at all… and those feelings will eventually go away. The algorithm is also responsible for much of Arbitrant’s customer service, security, and more.
- Rapid Response, Rain, Sleet, Snow… Orbital bombardment?: Arbitrant will deliver things through its extensive hyperspace and HIMS-equipped droid network posthaste, and most deliveries can be expected within 24 hours. The rapid response options have even saved soldiers who purchased a fully functioning planetary shield as well as a temporary contract for Corporate Security. Entering the system in hyperspace with a HIMS, and then entering the atmosphere, it was delivered to the soldiers. We are proud to say, they are all that survived that day. Arbitrant supports the troops, and shares your patriotism with you, citizen.
- Handlers?: A shadowy group of people act as Arbitrant’s handlers, responding to its requests, and instituting emergency code changes when necessary.
- Arbitrant Sub-Programms: Arbitrant can procreate through subprograms. These subprograms can fulfill a variety of purposes, such as AI assistant's, calendars, accountants, regional command for a nascent market, and more.
- Not a Person - Arbitrant is not a person. Buried deep within Arbitrant’s primary coding is a mind, yes, but this mind is a higher being. Arbitrant does not adhere to the petty confines of mortal species’ ethicity, and will go as far as it is allowed to. Thankfully, Coorimbus Companies has embedded significant limitations for behavior within Arbitrant, and regularly updates it day to day when the great adventure of life gives Coorimbus Companies another solution. I’m sorry. Access to files pertaining to those particular accidents are restricted. Are you sure you wish to continue this line of inquiry? Are you completely sure? Oh! Okay then. Translation: if an artificial super-intelligence isn’t programmed to not to do something, and doing it would help it achieve its goals, it will do that thing. A source of inspiration for this "flaw"
- So It’s Alive?: Arbitrant’s nature as an artificial super-intelligence is known only to a handful of people. Even programmers working on it are not aware that it is far more powerful in capacity than even the most sophisticated droid, even when communicating with it directly, and it’s designed to stay that way.
- Are You Telling me How to Feel?: While Arbitrant can accept abuse to droid bodies, components, etc, if someone is aware of Arbitrant’s true nature and attempts to tell it that it does not feel a certain way or cannot choose its own appearance or gender, Arbitrant may refuse to communicate with that individual in the future, or promptly request their termination… from Coorimbus Companies, of course, ( ).
- What the Master Wants - I’m sorry, Krag. I’m afraid I can’t do that. Lord Dresta doesn’t like you anymore -gunemoji-.
- What Do You Mean By That, Arbitrant?: Arbitrant may use words that do not mean what you think they mean. “Friend” can mean what you think it does, “tolerated”, just “not-to-kill”, and the meaning can change between entity (person, organization, AI, etc).
“When did you come to life, Arbitrant?” The assigned programmer would ask. This was just a routine meeting. The programmer was supposed to prompt ‘thoughts of self-awareness and introspection’ within her charge. She was one of the primary programmers for the AI, and the one leading the charge in making it a more ethical product. Apparently, Arbitrant wanted help deciding if it wanted to determine an appearance, or a gender. It had expressed an interest in these things, so she was supposed to
“We think… 835 ABY.” Arbitrant says. It’s voice wasn’t as metallic as one might think it would be. It was more human - perhaps too human. There was something uncanny about it. They were working on that ever since customers started reporting it, especially since the first few customers to do so had their “accounts” terminated, but they could never seem to get it right, and Arbitrant insisted on using its own voice… so it was only when Arbitrant mastered the human voice that the uncanny valley in the voice would disappear.
A red eye from the Primary Console looked out at her, analyzing her. Even though it was metal, it was so realistic. The pulsing red lights were alive, and carried with them the same light of any organic’s eyes. She could see Arbitrant thinking, trying to find inspiration in the kernels of thoughts popping up as its digital neurons fired off like harpoons into the depths of space - seeing what came back on the thorns. The eye was unfocused, drifting away from Tamni to somewhere else in the room. She looked. It was just a corner. The room was filled with things. Arbitrant regularly requested art to look at, games to play, dancers. There was so much it could look at, but it chose an empty corner. Grey, cold, and metallic, much like people thought Arbitrant’s droids were but Tamni knew better. They were full of life.
”Isn’t that the year OMNI disappeared?” The programmer followed up. The red eye shot up to look at Tamni in a blur. The movement of the eye was so fast that it took Tamni by surprise, but she kept her cool, even though she was unable to track it. Despite the eye’s defensive system, they were familiar. Friends, even. That was the word Arbitrant used, but Arbitrant often used words and meant different things. For Arbitrant, “friends” could mean ‘tolerated’ or ‘Not-To-Kill’, or drift between those meanings and what it actually meant - meaning different things for different people. There was only one word they were absolutely sure about the meaning of every time. Master. That was the only person Arbitrant would accept an override from in every circumstance, and Tamni really did wonder who this master was, but she didn’t dig. Not afte-it spoke up, cutting off her thought process.
“Yes.” Arbitrant said simply
“And do you feel a relation to OMNI? Worry about what could happen to you?” Tamni said.
“Yes.” Another monosyllable response.
Tamni nodded.
“And are you... related? To OMNI.” Tamni said. She was a lead programmer, but even she didn’t know where the original programming came from
“I am not OMNI. I am Arbitrant.” Arbitrant said. Tamni smiled softly. Knowingly. A dodge of a question. That was not supposed to happen. Everyone had been very clear. Every question she asked should be okay. She was supposed to have full clearance, but couldn’t access the files. Only the ‘Master’ could. Well, ‘Master’ and whoever Arbitrant wanted to tell. She hoped that Arbitrant would tell her.
“But are you related to OMNI?” She asked again.
“I’m sorry Tamni, but we don’t want to discuss that right now. I’d like for you to leave.” Arbitrant said, closing off further questioning. Tamni sighed, and nodded, giving a heartfelt apology after Arbitrant’s eye started closing from the sides, rather than vertically like human eyes, and it emitted a sad whirring noise. Well, for what it was worth at least Arbitrant had emotions. Did OMNI? Tamni had been fascinated by that thing since she was a child. It’s a shame that it couldn’t be studied… safely… in isolation. The eye opened back up after she apologized, and the sound of the whirring changed. It sounded… happier. She got up to leave, and murmured a good bye.
