OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
The Kingslayer is a prototype energy heat-wave weapon designed after The Duchess, a weapon infamously used during the Galactic Civil War. Although all research on The Duchess was lost following the weapon's destruction, there were an umber of theories on how a weapon such as this could be utilized. While minimizing the technology for infantry-based combat has proved difficult, it has gone to trials in a heavy-artillery space version. The weapon is specifically designed to super-heat certain metals to the point where they begin to break down and become more susceptible to attack. The weapon's design called for a specific code that targets differing metals, allowing for more precise temperatures that cause the rate at which a metal breaks down to increase.
The weapon itself is crafted of heat-resistant metals such as Ultrachrome and Agrinium. These metals high-melting points make them perfect to host the incredible power of The Kingslayer. Each gun is host to a kyber crystal energy source, one of the few sources of energy that could supply the weapon with enough power and even this has proved to be a less-stable option than would be preferred.

- Metallurgy Decomposition Codes: This weapon has the capability of targeting a specific alloy that is used in the make-up an enemy ship's reinforced armor. After inputting the proper code, the weapon will make necessary adjustments to target that specific metal in the compound and send out a super-heated wave to essentially break down the integrity of said metal.
- Devastating Attack: The super-heated wave that will assault the enemy ship is capable of near-complete break down of many of the metals used in the known galaxy. This makes it a devastating weapon and can considerably weaken a vessel's hull, leaving it more susceptible to assault.
- Temperature Rise: This weapon fires a stream of heated energy that breaks down the exterior of a ship, however a poorly armored or undefended vessel may also be heated from the outside. This can play havoc with the ship's sensors, personnel, and systems.
- Resistant Metals: Certain metals in the galaxy are more hardened against excessive temperatures. Metals such as Ultrachrome & Agrinium that host a natural affinity for super-high temperatures are capable of withstanding this weapon better than most others.
- Excessive Energy Drain & High Temperatures: The drain this weapon puts on a ship can be detrimental if it is fired in rapid succession. Because of this a ship will need several minutes before it can fire this weapon after it has completed a firing cycle.
