Born to an impoverished family in the infamous Scraplands of Ord Mantell, Archibald Rhodes quickly followed his parents' career path and became a scavenger. From a very young age he roamed the miles of junk and became skilled in slicing old computers and doors, often leading to more valuable treasures than simple machine parts. Because of this skill, Archie became a popular hire for more daring expeditions into the deepest parts of the Scraplands. Archie spent most of his teen years on such expeditions, sending the lion's share of his earnings to his aging parents, giving them a somewhat comfortable life.
His success braving the Scraplands eventually came to an end as work dried up. Most outfits didn't agree with Archie's free spirit and his growing reputation for endangering missions with his gung-ho attitude. His career was given a second chance by the arrival of the New Imperial Order to his homeworld. He had never pictured himself as a military man, and he didn't completely understand what the Order fought for, but they were a way off Ord Mantell and a way to make some money with his skills. Even if it was an impulsive decision to enlist.
While at first he didn't know why the New Order fought the Sith Empire, most of his new comrades were fervently opposed to them. Archie quickly began to see the truth about their enemy was as he went through his basic training and studied battles of both the old Civil Wars and the one that raged around him. He completed his training around the time of the Battle of Bastion, a decisive battle in the war, and he was ready for deployment into whatever came next.
Beneath the urban world of New Bakstre, Archie was sent on what he believed to be a routine patrol. It was far from it. Horrible disciples of the dark side were gathering in the sewers, and Archie witnessed the deaths of a number of his squadmates. With the death of his corporal and the bravery he showed in the face of the beasts they fought, he was promoted to the place of his fallen comrade.
Following the battle of Dantooine, Archie was taken into COMPNOR to become a war correspondent, a frontline journalist recording and recounting the battles against the enemies of the New Order. His gung-ho attitude, charisma, and fighting spirit made him the right man for the job.

Archie is hardy and easygoing young man. Although his fast and free spirit collides with his superiors in so many situations, on the field of battle he exemplifies stormtroopers as a daring and efficient soldier. His attitude has made him quick to friendship with the rest of his squad. His off hours generally consist of Sabacc, telling stories of his junkyard adventures, and recalibrating his guns. -
Strengths and Weaknesses
Charismatic Negotiator: A lifetime of dealing with junkyard traders and fellow scavengers has honed Archie's skills in the persuasive arts.
Brave: Archie has never been one to shy away from venturing into the imposing scrapyards of Ord Mantell, not shying away from a fight against another scavenger who's done him wrong.
Arbitrary: Archie does as Archie pleases. In the junkyards this was seen as a good trait, but as a New Imperial Stormtrooper his go-with-the-flow attitude is strongly looked down on.
Impatient: Archie doesn't like to wait for his next meal, the right girl, or the right opportunity. Life will pass him by if he doesn't keep doing things now, and fast.
Slicer: An invaluable skill in the Scraplands, the ability to slice old technology and pick locks (both physical and computer) has been one of Archie's best since he was a young boy.
